President Bush signed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act into law today. The measure, which was attached to a ports security bill, bans American banks and credit card companies from completing transactions with Internet gambling companies.
The Associated Press reports Bush focused on security issues at today's signing ceremony and did not mention Internet gambling.The GOP are against personal liberty and freedom. Don't ever kid yourself on that fact, even if they do have Corporate Sponsored Tea Parties.

GWB was the president who signed this bill into law.
It wasn't Obama.
Dems like Barney Frank have been trying to get this bill overturned. It's the GOP with their lock-step discipline that has been torpedoeing these efforts.

By the same token, he could veto the bill as well. I didn't vote for Obama, but it's just funny that the President who signed the bill into law had NOTHING to do with it in your eyes.
Btw, simply having a majority is not enough to overturn anything. I don't know whether they would or not but I don't think they ever had 2/3 on Senate or the House.
