I like this site.... lots of cool people here, lots of good cappers, lots of trash too. I wouldn't be opposed to paying a membership fee....here's my idea
Keep the free site as is, but create a Members Only section that is identical, but is for the paying members only. Bring the paying part of the site back to the good days, where there was no censorship, and very few if any ads. If we want to rant about what a "darning piece of garbage" a coach or player is, and we should be able to using the words that make us feel better about doing so!
Also, create a probationary period for new members, 90 days would suffice...if they just bash or troll, delete the account without a refund. That would cut down on a lot of the stupidity that ruins the forums.
Keep the Penalty Box, but also create a "Crybaby" forum and have any thread created that has to do with "Over is done" or "Why did I take (insert team here)" 5 minutes into a game automatically be placed there keeping the mains from being clogged. And lets have some sort of presence that keeps people from making up/lying about their records. If someone does decide to tail a capper (which is at their own risk of course) they should at least be able to do so with someone who keeps a real record.
An "Ignore" option has been brought up multiple times. I could use this option in AOL chat rooms in 1995....why can't Covers enable something like it in 2014?
I guarantee even a $20/year fee would cut down on the crap that ruins the site for the people who really like it.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
