I am moving, starting a new life, narrowed down to 4 choices, need your opinions.

I have lived in Nevada almost 20 yrs.  I am done.  I will kill myself if I live here any longer.  13 percent unemployment rate.  Very few high paying jobs.  I got a great degree but it's worthless here.  I have narrowed down to four choices.  I am single, highly mobile, and horny as fuck.  I want a good paying job, don't want to get shot, and want to meet my dream wife.
 
1  San Diego great weather, job market weak
 
2  Seattle  loved the city, but it rains alot
 
3  Washington D.C. this is where most of the jobs in my field are
 
4  New York City (or surrounding areas) want to experience the culture and etc.
 
I feel like I have missed out alot in life by not being in a big city.  Tell me what you think.  I need help.  I have to move before winter.

If you move to D.c you will be living in Va or Ma cuz DC is a hell hole to live in unless you're a rich politician.The commut to DC will give you grey hairs my friend.I live 1 1/2 hours out side of NYC in Ct and I can tell you it's expensive as hell! A grand a month will get you a decent but modest appartment anything lower and you will be fighting cockroaches for the bed.SD looks nice, never been there.

I heard Wal-Mart in Mexico City is looking for an english speaking door greeter. The plan is generous and you get employee discount.

 I would take San Diego off the list and it narrow it down to 3. Not only is the job market weak, but it is also one of the highest cost of living areas in the country.

I lived in San Diego for about 10 years. Great city, but you have to work 3 jobs just to survive. Which means you don't get to enjoy the great city.

would have to be n.y.! cost of  living  is  kinda high, but if you can put that degree to use you should be fine. also the diversity, the woman, the night life, yankee stadium, what more do you need.

Yankee stadium is fucking right! Every game feels like a playoff game.For $120 you can sit in the 2nd best seats on the first level.They have seat waiters and feel like an easy chair.If your into baseball it's a must see.Get good seats on www.stubhub.com .

Have you thought about Canada? No joke..
That country can offer a lot of the same things that you can get in USA + some things you cant get there.

Vancouver, Toronto good be good choices.

DC should not even be on a list. You need to be wealthy to live in the good areas and the crime rate might be one of the highest in the country. Not to mention traveling the beltway and other commutes are awful.

NYC is a great place but expensive. There is anything and everything you can think of but its also a very fast paced lifestyle instead of being laid back. If you live in manhatten it is extremely expensive but if you can find places for a little less expensive in the  Brooklyn or outside the city. Public transportation and the subway make it extremely easy to travel and you wont need a car unless you really want one.

San Diego has perfect weather but expensive. If the job market is weak adn you don't find a job then not sure how long you would last there.

I have an aunt who lives in Seattle (she has lived in CT, Cleveland, Australia) and said she loves Seattle the most out of anywehre she has lived. I've never been but I have always heard great thigns from people.

Also hear Portland is a great city.

great city, lots of bars, women, housing and I hear the job market is ok

my friend stayed there after graduating from "hook 'em" U and loves it...he has a good payin job and women up the ass

You couldn't pay me to live in D.C., unless you could somehow live in the District itself - and then you still have to wade through an ocean of douchbags every day.
 
N.Y. isn't my thing, but some people wouldn't live anywhere else. 
 
I'm not sure why the entire world doesn't live in San Diego. 
 
I sure liked my three days in Seattle, though there are lots of crazy people, rain and coffee to put up with.

I have lived in nevada since 1984 and would not even think of moving anywhere elseI love nevada
 
dunno what kind of work your in,   but my choice would be San Diego if you can afford it

By far Washington, DC.  And yes I'm a homer. I've been in DC via North Carolina for 20yrs and love the city today just as much as I did upon arriving in 1989.  Job market has maintain (although competitive) housing (has increase) but aprtments are pentyfull & affortable, everything is accessible via cab or metro, very cultural, the city is clean, plenty of women making good money and the night life is in abundance. Their was an article on the front page of yahoo thursday that read Washington, DC took over NYC for people between the ages of 25 - 35 making $100,000 or more.  Its a grind though.  You have to beat the pavement from the jumpstart to get your career flowing. Once that has been acheived you can venture out and find you one of these nice educated RICH honies and you're set dude.Crime rate is like any other major city.  It has its spots. Where people get the idea that DC is expensive and full of politicians are beyond me. You never see politcians and the money you make is suitable for living.  You're gonna hear things like this from people who have never lived or worked in DC.  To much television can give any city or place a bad name. Google Washington, DC forum to get many of your questions answered.  Trust me dude, DC is a fun place to live.
