I 'assumed' no such thing. The comment was made by Be Easy and I was calling him out because of the use of a common racial stereotype directed towards black youths. 

Very few whites would be stupid enough to implicate themselves of racism by using actual skin color to denigrate. Instead (as I've said here many times) an entire dialect of white 'code language' was formed to skirt around this issue.

Then, when people like me (whites who are already in the know and around this code language day in/day out), call the offenders out, the FIRST line of defense for racist buffoons is to PLAY THE RACE CARD ON ME as you just did. It's high comedy...really it is...

Anyway, we'll wait for Be Easy to come back in the the thread and attempt to be truthful about the race of the 'gangsters'.

New flash: Blacks ARE discriminated institutionally and systematically from the top down... it comes from a virtually all white male congress, from within the educational system, within corporate America, right down to private white communities that do everything possible to keep the 'coloreds' out.

I'll tell you what it means. Something very negative for the average black male (and female) whose election did NOTHING but convince whites that blacks not only have equal opportunity, but that if ONE black male can achieve greatness, then all 40+ million of them most certainly can.

Of COURSE one can feel threatened by his own race. There's a thread in this very forum addressing a gun being brandished on a white WOMAN by white man. Presumably, he was threatened by her trespassing .

But, in general, outside of outrageous news headlines, whites don't feel the need to point out this threat unless there is a different skin color involved, as I believe be easy did. This is done to DENIGRATE the entire race....a small potshot against a race that annoys and is a nuisance for them even if it's on a gambling message board.

Now if be easy would tell us the race of the 'gangsters' we can put this issue to bed.

A couple of things to add-

You (Scalabrine) were the one to make the assumption the "gangsters" were black-

Since the point of the thread was to point out high turnout at a mall (which as be easy noted, does not sell necessities and staples, but rather overpriced "luxuries" - for the most part), isn't it a positive development that these oppressed "gangsters" can participate in this spending?  After all, they are being disproportionately screwed by this economic downturn- right???

I refered to the President as a negro because he has black skin and negro features (and he smokes menthols).

You decided that of all his "races", "negro" was the "lowest".

I didn't cast a single aspersion as to the status of his (or anyone elses) race.
