Jon Gruden has an openly gay brother

Not going to be a great Thanksgiving dinner at the Gruden house this year.

(this is not an opinion about anything having to do with the emails or firing.  So save it for another thread.  It is a simple statement of fact)

And they've probably went back and forth with what used to be very normal taunting of each other..no doubt including numerous Thanksgivings....God knows making fun of Chuckie is easy pickings....but now we fire people for emails and behavior from years ago...at least if they are white.. male and over 50

He just built a $4.3 million dollar home next to the Southern Highlands golf course. Gonna be a festive holiday season!

I am almost sure he get a severance package. You don't walk away from a 10 million dollar contract. Mark Davis and Chucky were very good friends. For the most part, friends take care of friends. The report was an "emotional" meeting at the facility. I am sure Gruden was not crying about not getting paid...

LoL at you thinking his brother will all of a sudden be upset. There are things I don't agree with my family. My sister believes that QANON stuff. Doesn't mean I throw it up in her face or hate her. I don't particularly agree with gay or trans lifestyles, doesn't mean I hate them. You must be 14 if you think him having a gay brother will all of a sudden be awkward.

 At the end of this public rage when the dust settles and this story is long forgotten when the next person gets cancelled, I'm pretty sure it will be evident that Goodell himself was behind this, as he got his revenge on Gruden for calling him a fa****t....everything else he said Goodell couldn't care less about...this was 100% a personal vendetta and the commish always wins in these scenarios regardless of what sport it is.

The Raiders have always been a thorn in the NFL side ever since Al Davis didn't bend over to the league's wishes and commands many decades ago...time is always ticking, and he who holds the most power almost always laughs last...in this case Goodell got his revenge.

By playoff time, 99% of the people who are in full meltdown mode like Keyshawn and others, will be on their 3rd or 4th "used car salemen" victim by then.

Yo I’m half black and I didn’t give a shit at all with anything he wrote in his email. Looks like normal locker room talk to me. He must have pissed off big man goodell 

He won't get all of his contract but he will get some of it.  I am sure the lawyers are salivating over the billable hours if the split gets ugly.  

I think that we have to leave space for people to grow and change and better themselves, but I think there are opinions that just don’t belong in the game.

 Goodell is a puppet to to the owners.  He makes a lot of money to be their bitch and mouth piece.

Ultimately anything coming from Goodell means the owners OK'd it.  100% Davis was "told" to let him go. 

Don't feel bad for Jon, he didn't leave empty handed.  He would have been paid out for this year and probably another 2, even 3 years (reasoning he would have been fired well before his term expired).  Gruden being around the game for as long as he has + being on the broadcasting side has him knowing a lot of secrets.  The money is more to keep him quiet.

IF you are a Raider fan you should be relieved. Gruden was a dumpster fire as an "executive." He and Mayock had horrific drafts. Always reaching and never hitting. Gave Rodney Hudson away. Drafted Leatherwood in the 1st round.  Signed Brown and Snead at WR. Cut their 3rd round pick Tanner Muse. He never played a down for the Raiders. Traded Bowden Jr another 3rd round pick for nothing. Took Damon Arnette at 19 a few years ago. Took Ruggs at 12. 1st WR taken in the draft. They passed on Jefferson, Lamb, Higgins, and Jeudy. Clelin Ferrell is a bust. He was taken 4th. It goes on and on. Good Riddance to Gruden and it has nothing to do with his emails. He set this franchise back a decade.........

Yeah, I guess money is more important than anything, including character to a scum like you, Gruden, and those that think like you.

Its always money.  But its funny, all the people like you and those in this thread saying Gruden is somehow a victim are the ones who dont have any.  You are always hoping that your ship will come in, and when it does, you will do anything to be on it.

Keep dreaming pal - while at the same time being a totally miserable human being and blaming all the wrong people. Blame the blacks, the gays, anyone different than you - when in fact it is the rich that you admire so much that are the ones keeping their thumbs on your advancing.  You are the tree hoping to one day be an axe handle.
