Very poor example of poor sportsmanship. What kind of a lesson are you teaching are influential kids. Never seen that in my lifetime.

that’s the thing most folks seem to misunderstand. Since we’re all so sensitive how people approach us nowadays.. let me explain. Wisconsins coach tried to grab Howard’s attention by grabbing his arm with respect like “look man I called that timeout because you were full court pressing” Howard wasn’t having any of that.
wisconsins coach has been doing this for a while now while juwan has just started his college coaching career. It seems like Juwan doesn’t like being told or coached. He acts like some entitled little brat and start to throw hands at someone. It is a terrible example to these kids and it is the 2nd incident where he’s thrown a tantrum at the conclusion of the game.
No way should he be able to coach again.. he has proven that he is not a leader nor a mentor. These kids look up to their coaches because after college you are now on your own whether you have a professional career in sports or it’s life after college ball. I hope juwan apologizes to his students because in the end these are still his students and it is his duty to correct the wrong from the right. I also hope Michigan makes an example out of him that it is not right to strike anyone.. especially in todays world where we are constantly seeing more violence and people more divided than ever.

@TJZags598
Dickerson was only starter Howard pulled early Michigan had a couple starters on floor to end game, Wisconsin had 2 walk ons and 3 freshman off the end of bench. Jones who is 1 of Michigan’s best players was the player pressing and came up w a steal the previous possession. Howard is a ticking time bomb he has had issues in past and has gotten a pass for it, u maybe the best player of big10 coaches but he is def worst coach in conf. Actually I forgot Danny Manning is coaching now so he best former player but also n great coach.

Upclose view between the coaches exchange of words
look at how juwan gets all aggressive as he walks to the coach.
”I’m gonna remember that”
Wisconsin coach then tries to grab his attention because Howard was barking at him as he walked away and tried to explain the situation
howard then yelled “don’t fucking touch me don’t fucking touch me” and pointed his finger right at his face
Juwan was the over aggressor here and showed poor sportsmanship and example. How you could forgive him is beyond.. this could of gotten very ugly where those kids could of been swinging at each other.

@Dickey227
Exactly. He was full court pressing down 19 with 15 seconds left like the game was on the line and then gets mad when Wisconsin is forced to call a timeout because they can't inbound the ball and just run the clock out and then when they do inbound it Michigan fouls for no reason other than to be spiteful like they are some scorned woman. It was so embarrassing to watch as a Michigan fan.

@legwand
I think he may survive this tho, he shouldn’t but probably will. They will suspend him for rest of season let Martelli coach, and they do have favorable schedule down stretch to get into tourney. If they were smart tho they would force him out and bring beilien who works at school back. Not sure they will do that but it smartest things they can do, but it isn’t always about smarts these days.

This is just insane. Michigan playing for the one win they need to get in the tournament (I will excuse that at yesterday they were an 11 seed according to the pundits no matter what and that is based on what?) against a 3-4 seed (objective Badger fan as a 3-4 seed who has far exceeded expatiation's as 9-10 finish in pre-season team in B1G and has no right to be there other than resume and the best team that gets more with less talent) decides down 19 to press then wonders why?
Then a TO sets him off after having a 5 point lead evaporates on a 1-19 shooting spree to get his ass kicked. Howard was the nicest dude of the Fab 5 and a fine gentleman and now the last two years (see Maryland outburst from last year) he has gone off the deep end (making Jimmy Hardpaw look like a saint). If you lost by 2 or 3 I get it but really dude? Get over yourself! In the end a 2 game suspension is warranted and hope we do not meet in the B1G tournament. A Head Coach should NEVER act that way and don't tell me he's doing it for the players!
Caveat: Badger fan who witnessed it and I could be biased

I'm thinking more like the ncaa or mich suspends him for the rest of the year and in the offseason,mich buys out his contract and they say it's a mutual agreement. That way everyone keeps their dignity and Howard is still welcomed on campus. Someone still has to make a decision about the 2 mich players who swung at the wisc. players. No one has mentioned that.....

Both of these guys are so clueless. Phone a friend if you dont know what you are doing. These programs suffer the consequences from hiring such coaches.

For sure...and the reason for the timeout was because Juwan wouldn't let the Wisky scrubs have their 45 seconds of fun on court; wouldn't even let them bring the ball over half court. He said post-game he told his kids to press full court. Really? With 45 seconds to go and the game over? His starters couldn't do that to Wisky all day, but Howard was gonna get pissy and teach the scrubs who was boss...yeah. So Gard had to call the timeout to get his kids to re-group.
He looked over and past Gard on the handshake line so Gard just touched his elbow to say "good game". That's all Howard needed to show everybody in the arena (including his Michigan players) how you're supposed to accept losing a game...become a thug...and then accuse Gard of acting in a threatening manner. Lame ass.
