SEASON RECORD: 263-272, +7.2111 CaprasYESTERDAY: 5-2, +4.945 unitsHappy about the profits yesterday but those two losses were about as much fun as a colonoscopy. Seattle at +163 and Houston at +144 both had leads headed to the bottom of the 9th. Ouch!

UNDER STL/BOS 1ST 5 INNS 5 (+102) (1 UNIT) - Two hot pitchers. In Lester's last 5 home starts, he has tossed 36.3 innings and allowed an incredible 20 hits, 4 earned runs (0.99 ERA) and has a 28:10 K:BB ratio. In Piniero's last 8 starts he has thrown 46 innings and allowed 39 hits, 16 earned runs (3.13 ERA) with a 33:13 K:BB ratio. Both teams missing their top sluggers.
UNDER DET/SD 8 RUNS (-107) (1 UNIT)
UNDER DET/SD 1ST 5 INNS 4.5 (-117) (1 UNIT) - Two hot pitchers in a pitcher's park. In Verlander's last 7 starts, he has tossed 48 innings and allowed 27 hits, 14 earned runs (2.63 ERA) and has a 32:15 K:BB ratio. At home this year, Wolf has tossed 44 innings and allowed 34 hits (.214 average), 12 earned runs (2.45 ERA) with a 42:10 K:BB ratio. Verlander has been susceptible to the long ball throughout his career but this is the worst park in majors for home runs.

UNDER FLA/OAK 1ST 5 INNS 4.5 (-103) (1 UNIT) - Andrew Miller has been a different pitcher of late. In his last 9 starts, he has thrown 52 innings and allowed 41 hits, 16 earned runs (2.77 ERA) and has a 44:20 K:BB ratio. Justin Duchsherer is a candidate for the first half Cy Young. He has been outstanding. In his last 9 starts, he has tossed 59.3 innings and allowed 41 hits, 13 earned runs (1.97 ERA) and has a 40:14 K:BB ratio. The A's don't hit lefties well. They average just 3.5 runs with a .242 average and 13 HR's in 864 at-bats.
OVER CLE/LAD 8.5 RUNS (-105) (1.75 UNITS) - Paul Byrd has a road ERA of 7.19. In his last 6 starts overall, he has tossed 30.3 innings and allowed 43 hits, 26 earned runs (7.71 ERA) 9 home runs and has just 8 K's. Billingsley has been hit hard in two of his last three starts and also in two out of his last three home starts.
