RIP ex-Gator big man Dwayne Schintzius of leukemia at age 43.

He certainly had maturity issues, but was one of the most underrated CBB big men of the day (late 80's)

I always thought it funny that he finally got kicked off the team after repeatedly referring to interim coach Don DeVoe as "Capt. Ahab" to the media, and refusing to apologize for it.

he was a strange dude.  i saw him in tampa a few years after he got out of the nba.  he was actually talking to a female, looking like he did.  i heard he got cancer a couple of years ago.   very sad.  he was a character.
