Fair enough.  You state that you arent good at sports gambling.  Props to you for the admission.

Is there anyone here, in the history of covers, who puts more effort in to making people better at sports gambling than I have?  I have literally have written novels here - with the blueprints.

But here is the problem...  You are just like the rest of the losing masses and you have nobody to blame but yourself.  You want fish, you dont want to learn how to fish.  Instead of tracking 6 people here, why dont you take the time and invest in yourself?  Because you are lazy.  You want to be spoonfed.  You are just like everyone else.

Then, you turn on the people who you ask for the fish.  It isnt good enough for you that they are catching fish for you - you want more fish - you want different fish - you think you can make demands on the folks providing the fish.

In politics, this is the argument against welfare.  You are a welfare cheese hoarder, and you think you can make demands on the people providing the cheese.

Sound familiar?

OK...  Now I will stop posting as you wish.  Watch this thread go to the bottom of the trash heap because nobody gives a flying F about what you think is right and wrong in the sports betting world of Covers.  The only reason you have had fun with this thread is because I (and others) are posting in it.  So as you wish - watch this thread go to the scrap heap.

Ok,  fair points.    First a lack of talent  similar to the 90% of the others here including you I would presume.  

No laziness.   Tracking takes a lot of work and my time is limited, which is why you see so few posts from me over the months.

This MM thread was a stand alone topic, resulting from me "doing my homework" and researching about bet sizing!  

It was kcblitzkrieg/vanzack that turned this thread into garbage.  Not me!  Them!

Good idea but no need as this has been done before a few times in different iterations which I have read and I did not feel it would help now.

But truthfully it looks now like it doesn't matter what thread I start, no matter how well intende, or how informative, because the three I have started that way got attacked by kcblitzkrieg/vanzack and turned to a flame fest of garbage.

I report all such attacks to the mods

Your obvious narcissism aside, the answer is no.   The username on the NFL forum known as "vanzack" puts in more effort (and usually succeeds) than any other member.   Which is not to deny that many, many others also contribute in positive ways, some more than others.

Well I posted my year to date stuff across all lines in general forum, but unlike others I don't want / need attention.  I like to quietly make my money and spar for fun.

I'll help where asked or needed.

Those words can apply by you to a very large number of members here.

But it's a false premise as you are once again making presumptions based on scant information then believing your prseumptions must be correct because you are "vanzack"   so whatever you think must be true.

Read several books (some e-books) tons of articles and got some good advice along the way.  But eternally breaking even is no fun.  So a wise person watches the successful ones for clues.  Perhaps I am over emphasing some stats and dismissing relevent ones.  Got to see how the winners do it and that's how one gets better.  So I choose to track top players (takes work, not lazy!), read everything they have to say (takes more work, not lazy! and I'm working with time limits as it is) Then the key is to match up what they said with their eventual results that I have tracked.  Patterns emerge that reveal the successful strategies in handicapping totals and spreads.  That adds to my knowledge base.  I am in a progressive learning mode as I would hope all other handicappers are as well.

It would be another false premise to assume that tailing a handicapper means me or anyone else is necessarily betting all his  posted picks, or for that matter any of them in any given week.  WRONG!  In fact, it would be damn foolish.   I might include one or two plays  (tailed) to my own handicapped picks and see if the combination can pull me above break even.  For example, if I am kinda leaning to Steelers this weekend, but hesitant, and then I see a couple handicappers who have excellent w/l records pick the Steelers,  then I am on it!  For me, that's what I mean by tailing. That's where I am at.  I suspect this is more or less where about 90% of us are in this forum.

That doesn't pertain to me at all due to your misunderstanding, but I have read you and others say similar things before, and as it might apply to certain other people, sure thing, there are some immature people out ther who demand free handouts.

Yeah unfortunately you made it that way. 

It started well and  it was well intended.  Just like the others I have started on covers. But in certain cases somebody jumps into the thread with malice aforethought and spoils it for everyone.

Some guys though (I can name two in this thread alone) just seem seem to crave adulation, and if they get it (from boasting big winning records)  they seem to then morph toward narcissim and condescending internet bullies.  Some reveal an almost unbelievable petty and immature side of themselves.

That said I am leaning to the Rams, Steelers, and Eagles this weekend but feel like Steelers bet will be a definite go because a certain good handicapper is on the same pick I was leaning  (even though he is a petty narcissist)

even you are not immune to this.. as shown in my CFB Bowl thread. A fools lips enter into contention and his mouth calleth for strokes.

I was not going to post this recap,  despite Wizerguy being evasive about it. But 5 days after this sad and obvious display of "fake betting in a desperate attempt to overcome  the 92-125 -239.38 units  hole he dug for himself on an internet forum with his "pretend bets", out of the blue, he attacks me multiple times in the NFL sub forum!!!  I said nothing to this dude and he attacks me!!!  He's so petty & immature he just won't let go the fact he encouraged me to correct his records and I did what HE suggested!!

Perhaps he craves attention.
