Just heard this on VSIN about Johnny Football:He'll get some snaps against Edmonton this Thursday. He won't start. Vernon Adams will start and likely play 2.5 quarters. This move was more attendance driven as attendance is falling game after game (never mind the issues with Montreal in general). The line is Edmonton -8 over Montreal.
Makes sense........Montreal is off to a terrible start and they gave up 2 1st RD picks to get Manziel so he should see some playing time ASAP........
Hey SCAL
Your Rutgers Scarlet Knights get Kansas in their out of conference schedule.............Whats your 1st take on this match-up?

Hey SCAL
Your Rutgers Scarlet Knights get Kansas in their out of conference schedule.............Whats your 1st take on this match-up?
1) Right now Rutgers is embroiled in a credit card scam involving 8 players. Chargers are pending. This is on top of Ash dismissing two players during the offseason for unspecified reasons. We don't have all the details on who is involved and to what extent but it certainly puts the team in flux.
2) Rutgers is once again going to get crushed in conference. Their over under win total is FOUR and that is off the board because of #1. It may actually dip to 3.5.
So what does that mean? As soon as they start their in conference schedule they will get crushed (@Maryland, NorthWestern, @Wisconson, Michigan, Penn State, Mich State = BIG Dogs all almost certainly losses. Add in a loss to OSU early on).
What does that mean? Their out of conference games they SHOULD be ALL IN on. Texas State, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois.
So they SHOULD beat Texas State and then go 1-1 heading to Kansas. Lose to Kansas and you are looking at 1-2 with another very plausible loss to Indiana and yes possibly Illinois. Then the meat grinder of the schedule comes in.
So my answer is: I want to see what they do against Texas State (favored by 17 right now) and if anything at all, OSU (given the severe beatings dealt to them two years in a row) before I jump on the Kansas game. it's mandatory you don't look at this with a lookahead line because there are far too many unknowns right now to properly cap it. But yes they can win that game, the line should absolutely be reasonable for either side and Rutgers may have to be all in on that game just to save a modicum of face for the season.

That's a very tricky game and here's why:

Rutgers needs a huge culture change....bring in Ray Rice as a rb coach and groom him to become a OC towards a HC job one day...give everyone a chance by saying "hey, if Ray Rice can, so can i"

I am hoping they will start True FR QB Arthur Sitkowski just to see what they got there.......They wont be exactly throwing him into the wolves as that first half schedule is fairly easy........They very well could be favored in 4 of their first 6 games........Phil Steele says he has a great arm and the perfect skill set for their new offensive system...........THat credit card thing is a damn shame if we are talking about starting players...........Rutgers has an outside shot of opening the season 5-1...........
Picking up BC RB Jon Hilliman was not a wise move.......In 4 years od CFB he only AVG 4.0 YDS per carry in 1 season (2014 / 4.1 YPC) He put up terrible numbers and he cannot catch.........I dont get that move........Hopefully Blackshear beats him out.

There is a 0% chance they open 5-1. 0%.Vegas has them at 4 wins with juice. They, a team in total disarray, will not beat that number in 6 games.
Right now BetOnline has the RSW total at 3.5 (over -115) If the players in ? regarding the credit card scam are irrelevant I think its a solid bet......They are getting better on "D" and you gotta believe they are going to get better QB play this season. regardless.....I think they get their 4th win vs IL - then it gets ugly
Depending on the scandal outcome of course.

Ah yes Windsor...in my poker rounding youth days, i took a greyhound bus to Ceasars what was supposed to be a weekend explorative trip to check out the poker scene there along with Greektown Casino in Detroit, i rended up playing there for 3 months straight and almost singlehandedly bankrupted the entire local Windsor casino poker community...lived and ate in the Caesars hotel fully comped for the entire time...joined a local gym to keep in shape on my down time...it was a blast and helped propelled my poker bankroll at that time to become a regular 5-10NL Fallsview grinder at Niagara Falls....but yes the strip clubs in Windsor have their perks.

This split tastes sour...Fajardo had it all going on in that 4th Q getting it to 80-64 with the live line at 15.5 with 4 min left, then Baya goes on a 9-0 run to upset the peoples shabbis

3.5 is definitely a number we can discuss as the summer plays out with the scandal.
Ya just don't want it to turn into Purdue season win total 3 years ago, where Hazell was on his way out, got fired at 3-3 and then the replacement coach lost the rest of the games (their total was 4 that year).
Ash won't get fired but this QB better be ready to move the ball up and down the field.

Jets' Josh McCown and how he attributes brain training for his success in the twilight of his career.
Talks about how when he watches a movie his concentration can be monitored. The movie will go from color to black and white if his concentration wanes.
We all don't have $25,000 lying around to pay for such a program but keeping your brain active through cognitive exercises can help anyone.
