I was not talking about the climate or the landscape. Those are beautiful. The politics in CA have destroyed it. There is an app for homeless shit in SF. How’s the high speed rail coming? What about the billions to “combat” homelessness and the governor just bought a 9 million dollar mansion in a 230K salary?! Jerry Brown, Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom and Adam Shiff have ruined California. I own so much shit that is illegal in California but legal in most other states it’s comical. Silicon Valley and H1-B visas and how firms there are taking advantage of it. The list goes on and on. And look at LA now. Down right moronic leadership right there.

You weren't talking about the landscape but Jimmy was, and that's what I responded to. He mentioned California being the most beautiful state, or something to that effect. I simply said there are states that give it a run.
To your point, California's biggest issue is that people have been flocking to it for 175 year. And there are simply too many people. This fact is only exacerbated by flawed democratic policy. When there are 40 million people in California, and 600,000 in Wyoming, California is gonna have issues. While it has drawn some of the best and brightest, it also draws the dregs of society from every corner of the country. Every bum in the street, every fentanyl addict, they aren't all California natives. Most were born elsewhere. The chickens are coming home to roost though. As population centers shift, you're starting to see the same problems that face California in places like, say, Austin.
Let me ask you a question. Why don't we ever hear about how Republicans are ruining West Virginia? Or about how Republicans are ruining Ohio? Is policy to blame for what what afflicts these states?
