Lost money tonight on two games in which both teams had 2 run leads (and outs) going into the 9th inning. Bullpen pitchers are scum of the fucking earth. One job. Don't give away free bases on walks and get outs.

@SOTA30
Let me guess the freaking cardinals?! I lost to literally in the 9th this pos was 0-2 on the count with 2 outs and couldn’t even close the game. POS I can’t wait for football I’m so over baseball man.

@Antyte
That was one of them. And then the Angels reliever has 2 strikes and 2 outs in the 9th with the tying run at plate (because he walked the leadoff man) and gives up a meatball down the middle after he had already thrown 3 balls to the guy. So much for trying to handicap... felt I was on the right side for both games and then have it stolen in the 9th. I know it's a losing rant.... but, damn!, those are the worst type of losses.

I think the Cards implosion was worse because it's 4-2, then 1 out, the solo homer makes it 4-3, then 2 outs, then single, then stolen base and challenge but upheld, then double to tie, then pinch hitter, then double to walk it off. All those events negative was like slow torture

MLB is downright brutal. I have had so many bad beats from bullpens this season it’s not even funny. Then when I have a team that is down a few runs .. they can’t even get a baserunner. I find it almost impossible to believe that anyone can make a profit betting MLB. Next summer I think I’m going to cancel my account so I’m not even tempted to bet this crap. Hopefully football season is kinder to bankroll.

@VicVega91
This is becoming more and more crucial.
Two issues:
One, a longer period gives the 'better' team time to win out over 9 innings -- in case a 'worse' team somehow jumps out to a lead.
Two, the new plan to only let starting pitchers go to 5-6 innings or a low pitch count is bad. No data shows it prevents injuries. The other issue is the more a team brings a guy out of the bullpen, the more likely they will find a pitcher the other team will hit or will walk guys right away. When you use 5-6-7 pitchers a game it is very dicey.

@buttas
This does not have anything to do with what he is complaining about.
That is, of course, a good rule in betting any sports.
He is simply saying he is disgusted the way he lost. He did not complain about how much of his BR he lost.

I know...
What he is bitching about happens every day in MLB... among other things. If you bet small $ relative to ur BR u don't feel the need to bitch cause the loss is nothing... Just saying.

Gotcha. I understand.
I am saying if you lose even $1 that way -- it is still a ridiculous way to lose.
Yes, you manage BR to account for this nonsense -- but, the bottom line is that it is still nonsense the way MLB has started doing this far more often than before.
But, my point, is EVEN if you do not wager on it -- it is still frustrating that the managers have started doing this.
Even if you are not a bettor and just a fan, it is a bad look.

@MrBator
The Puke trade is actually worse than most realize. They gave up Deyvison De Los Santos, who is arguably having the best year of any player (hitter) in the minor leagues this season. Miami got away with grand theft, the Dbags deserve every negative thing they get out out of that trade.

I applaud and thank the D-Backs for demonstrating resilience in successfully overcoming the A.J. Puk experience.

I want to apologize to A.J. Puk. He entered today’s game in Pittsburgh in the bottom of the 9th after Ryan Thompson had dug a nice hole for himself. Puk took over with runners at the corners and calmly recorded the final two outs to preserve a one-run comeback win for the D-Backs. I regret my insensitive comments posted on Friday night. I will try to do better but I probably won’t.
