Shelley Smith of ESPN confirmed that he is still alive about 10 mins ago.  Let's hope for a miracle recovery.

dam i remember i went to his camp in the early 80's me and two other kids won the three on three at the camp he signed a book about his coaching and peramid of success. i shook his hand and had a brief conversation with him. what a great human being. he did have a impact on me after that day. i still have the book at my mothers house. may god bless your soul MR. Wooden.

Since he is in grave condition...At 99 years old I'm sure he has prepared himself for his sendoff..what a full life the guy lived, hopefully us degenerates can be so lucky...If you haven't yet, I would suggest reading his book, it is a great read for people, especially coaches in general..I mean, how can you not like a guy that never refused to give an autograph? His family had to literally tell people to stop asking for his signature, because regardless of how tired he was, he would always oblige...Seemed like a great guy...RIP Mr. Wooden...

In no way did I mean disrespect to one of the greatest basketball minds ever.

At the very least it doesn't sound good for a man 99 yrs old.
