YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST:  TEMPLE WILL NOT ONLY BEAT THE SPREAD TODAY, THEY WILL CRUSH UCLA!  UCLA is sandwiched between BEVERLY HILLS and SANTA MONICA.  TEMPLE IS LOCATED IN PHILADELPHIA.  The boys from Rodeo Drive will succumb to the winter weater in Washington DC today!  The current temp in wash is 33 degrees with the wind blowing at 25 mph. If you have been betting sports for a while, you should know that warm weather schools (or NFL teams) historically perform poorly in these conditions.  But there are other factors too, no question UCLA plays in a tougher conference, but this is one of the worst years for the wac-10 in memory.  They are only 1-2 in bowl games and they produced parity, nobody challenged for the national championship.  Temple lost their last game but reeled off 9 straight wins before that, and were scoring at a hefty rate.  Just the weather alone favors Temple.  But Temple has to be considered the home team here, as they will bring an enthusiastic crowd with them, as they are not used to playing in bowl games.  If you bet on UCLA, both your funds and the Bruins will be frozen.

Did everybody forget that weather is a factor?  Nobody is talking about it in this game, as most bowl games are played in warm-weather sites.  Not this one!

First of all, the UCLA team has been here in this weather for days now practicing. Its not like they got off a plane last night.

2nd, isn't UCLA in the PAC 10 not the "wac" 10?

3rd, Temple is a commuter school and it's now winter break. And its freakin freezing. There will be no difference in rooting help here. That stadium will be more than 1/2 empty.

4th, I am considering buying back my temple bet now that I have read your post.

5th, i am a rookie and am not taking into consideration that weather is no factor.

If UCLA has been acclimated to the weather, then why historically has warm weather schools and NFL teams lost when playing in the cold?  I'm from Los Angeles and have rooted for UCLA many times, but my wallet comes first, buddy.

since youre not from the east coast let me help with you with something.  this is temple football. their fans will consist of players parents and a couple of idiots from philly who are looking for an excuse to take a road trip and booze.  the fact that you think "fans" from temple will have an impact is laughable man

If you bet on UCLA, both your funds and the Bruins will be frozen.

this whole post is laughable.  youre whol arguement is based on weather? seriously? this is how you cap and bet games?  do some research and let me know how mac teams perform in bowl games since you want to bring up how bad the "wac 10" is.  Also, do you see the type of teams Temple "reeled" wins off of?  Akron? Ball State" .

flying ductchman, if a team hasnt been to a bowl game since 1979, their fans, goofy or not WILL SHOW UP.  on the other hand, how many UCLA fans will show up?  The sales on Rodeo Drive will keep them home in Beverly Hills.

their fans will not show up bro...you obviously have no clue what youre talking about.  Temple has an decent basketball team and would have trouble filling a 10k person arena.  This football team has sucked ass since bill cosby played for them, how much of a following do you think you develop sucking ass for 50 years?  turn on your tv and look. if your bets are usually based on weather and fans, i feel bad for your bank roll

I said "no question" Ucla plays in a better conf.  but that's why they are giving points.  Any capper knows that level of conference isnt the only factor too

Syracuse, i don't know, but i grew up in Los Angeles, and i guess i was lucky to grow up there, the weather is probably the finest in the country, but im thinking you're from Syracuse and you could probably throw a snowball much better and accuratly than me.  I would think you would understand the weather angle here.  Sure, it's not 100%, but you seem to say that it's not a factor.  We'll see, but i like my chances
