While what he said was terrible........ but let's not forget that all speech should be protected!!!! It doesn't mean he should not be kicked off Covers because I agree that would be good. It also doesn't mean that there can't be certain consequences for saying things. Calling certain things "hate speech" is getting out of hand. In the U.K. people can get arrested for posting offending emes that people say is "hate speech"! It's a slippery slope for sure.
Prayers to the families of those affected by this senseless act of violence.

Not directed at you, Hoosier, but sadly..."gun violence" is a media created narrative. There is no such thing as a violent gun. It is a people violence thing. We don't say "vehicle violence" for car wrecks. The term "gun violence" is all part of an agenda, and the masses have just lapped it up as if it were a real thing. We have become a country of sheep. It's hard to watch.

Though in principle I agree people should be able to speak freely, even devout racists and other morons like those who posted on this string...The Covers.com NCAAF Forum is no place for that garbage...Those racist fools may attend a Donald Trump political rally, in which racism and Xenophobia are promoted and encouraged by the Fuhrer and where they can commiserate with their fellow racists...Covers.com is a private enterprise and it has its own house rules...Though I may have unintentionally opened the can of worms with my statement, what I meant to say is that this is not the forum or the string to debate what constitutes free speech...Covers.com should not be a sounding board for this hate and racism...And don't refer to me et al calling out these disgusting racists as "hate" speech...That is a weak argument with no merit...

This post was only supposed to be about the pricelessness of life and it took 3 measly posts for it to go racial. Covers is full of deplorable racists. GMoney...you meant well and I understood what you were saying. Not everything has to be about race; especially when young people are dying.

Man..wtf..guy posted about 3 young lives being snuffed out by a piece of shite but you want to make it about someone's words you disagree with and lose focus on the facts of what happened. Get over yourself

Taking a simple phrase and then over complicating it is a sign of low intelligence.

It is actually you who are brainwashed. I grew up in Philly and now live in a European country where guns are illegal. Kid I graduated with in Philly got shot and killed his first year in college, robbed for 5 bucks.
There is literally a murder every day there. Where I live now it's extremely rare for a murder to take place and that's simply because guns aren't really a thing.
After Dunblayne the UK banned handguns and there haven't been any mass shootings since. The US has had 600 this year alone.
I'm so glad I don't live there any more. It will never change. I feel so safe where I am now I don't even lock my front door.
