Fucking ridiculous that people believe everything in life is staged now thanks to the internet. All these events being predetermined whether it's sports, elections, space travel, wars, population control through chem trails ect. is completely off the rails. There would have to be hundreds or thousands of people involved depending on the scale & complexity of the conspiracy & all those people would have to keep their mouths shut their entire life, even after death lol. For the sake of argument, let's say all the shit you people believe is true. You obviously can't do shit about it so you might as well forget free will & just put the bullet in your mouth tonight.

    Losers always think the system is rigged against them. You are losers because you suck at handicapping, and you suck at life. Not because the game, or the system is rigged.

     Well Marjorie, just one if you must know. Didn't realize scripted games in the NBA & Covid were somehow related. By the way, why do you capitalize boosters? Drop out of school in 10th grade, sweetheart?

    @dg84

    Let’s just make it simple. You’re right no one cares about the ratings the Pacers or Wolves would bring over the Nuggets and Knicks. TV time has viewers. Tickets will still sell, merchandise will still be bought, and let’s not forget the concession money will still rake in. Whatever team is playing, these categories are inevitable. That doesn’t change with who’s playing. It’s the playoffs. But what they do care about is the money that padded their pockets from how the chain of events played out as dictated to their favor. The NBA and Sportsbooks are businesses that thrive off of manipulation. With that manipulation, comes big money swayed one way…… money controls outcomes. Lastly, off sports talk and to your reference on elections. Yes, those too are dictated by a hierarchy of people that are crooked. They deliver what they want. This last election exploited that quite well. You just have to be lucky and be on the right side in the end.

     So everything is controlled & fixed & there's no way to predict what the powers that be want the outcome to be? How convenient for those that believe in conspiracy theories. Was the 2020 election the only presidential election to be fixed, or was 2016 fixed as well? As far as the main issue at hand, the NBA, other major sports leagues & sportsbooks are making obscene amounts of money no matter who wins, so there doesn't seem to be a reasonable risk/reward ratio to make an ongoing conspiracy such as the one you describe be worthwhile. The same holds true for politics. Why is it that individuals that subscribe to these theories never believe in just one or two, it's all of them? On the other hand, I don't believe the vast majority of this bullshit, but I'd be willing to at least discuss a conspiracy being at play in the JFK assassination or perhaps manipulation of the stock market by corporate America & the ultra-wealthy.

    Great, thank you for admitting that you ran in line & got conned not once, not twice for your original shots, but 3 times, since you admitted to only recieving 1 booster. Yet nothing in life is fixed to benefit following the money, according to your logic.

    Some people are so far behind in the race they actually think they're ahead.

    @HebrewLazers

     Apparently, you also believe Covid was a hoax, or do you just believe that the vaccine was a hoax? I don't know about you, but I knew two people who died & numerous others who got sick, some severely. I received the vaccine & had no ill side effects & never contracted Covid. Might that have been the case without the vaccine? Maybe, but guess we'll never know. P.S. I don't really believe what I'm saying, but have to do this because the tracker they put in my shot relays information back to them, informing them of my thoughts & actions. Damn, now they know the truth! By the way, the implant in my brain is now telling me to let everyone on the forum know that Boston will beat Indiana, however it will take them 6 games & Minnesota is destined to be the next NBA Champion. You know what that means? That's right. Take Indiana & Dallas!

    Who in congress makes 300% returnse every year. Name some possible stocks in their portfolios that have a 300% year after year ROI.

    @dg84

    Point being is money controls everything we do in this world. Let me give you two scenarios based on real data or information:

    1st Scenario:

    Playoff game like today:

    Nuggets vs Timberwolves

    85% Bets placed on Nuggets
    15% Bets Placed on Wolves

    75% Money is on the Nuggets
    25% Money is on the Wolves

    To your betting knowledge and expertise, who does the book need to win?

    2nd Scenario:

    This will be the last Super Bowl ever played. Better yet, the last betting event in the history of sports betting. Books are there just to collect the money on bets and print tickets. They don’t have access to the data, pregame, on what percentage of money or action is on either team until the game is over. The Spread was determined by the oddsmaker based on the underlying variables to create said line.

    Ravens vs Eagles

    Ravens -3.5

    To your betting knowledge and expertise, who does the book need to win?

    1) Where did you get your numbers that 75% money was on the Nuggets.

    2) Basketball, even playoff NBA basketball, is a drop in the bucket to most casinos. They don't need either to win.

    Hey Stumpy McGee, trust me I’ve been gambling on sports for years and don’t need your input. Since you’ve got it all figured out…. Let me guess you hit them at an 80% clip huh big boy? You can’t be touched eh? STFU…. No one has it figured out fully unless you’re the one setting the damn line or collecting/dictating the money. How about you and I go head to head? We’ll pick 20 games, from all sports. Baseball ML, basketball spread and hockey ML. If we pick the same games and team, so be it. I’ll be willing to bet we won’t for most. We track those 20 games and see who comes out on top. Winner collects $1,000. You in or out?

    1) Those numbers were round about. Not exacts but close in proximity.

    2) 100K bets on a Game 7, ranging anywhere drom $1 to 6 figures is just a drop in the bucket? Most bet on game of the day by a long shot. And they raked in the money. And you’re a sports gambler?

    In your first scenario, I know who the book would WANT to win, not need to win, but none of this matters. I'm done arguing the point about whether the world & by extension, our lives are totally rigged. I'm never going to convince you or anybody else that believes in these concepts that you're wrong & you sure as hell aren't going to convince me that everything of any importance is predetermined just because large amounts of money are involved.

    You’re right we’re not going to convince each other anything on our views. But if you don’t believe MONEY controls everything, then buddy you’ve been hiding under a log in the backwoods of South Louisiana for too long. We need you to come out of hiding to smell the green.

    Sometime in the future if someone or a group of people come forward & it's proven that a supposed major conspiracy has taken place that fixed an entire pro or college sports season, election, epidemic, or anything else worthy of national or international headlines, I'll come back & admit I was wrong & stop drinking the Kool Aid so to speak. I seriously doubt I'll have to hunt this thread down anytime soon though.

     I lied. This will be my last comment on the matter, instead of the prior statement. I'm not naive at all. I do believe money controls many things in our world, just not to the absolute all-encompassing level that you seem to believe.

    Google "When it's legal to rig a Sports game by Ryan Rodenberg", an Atlantic article from 2013 (behind a paywall when I found it quite sometime ago, but you could sign up for a free period then discontinue before having to pay anything). Not saying this game was, but the law is on the side of the NBA if it somehow later proved to be the case.

    Minnesota did a rope a dope. They learned not to blow all their energy in the first half in the mile high city.

    If it is fixed, do you really think they are going to give you multiple chances to bet either team at +500 or more at various times during the game?  Almost the entire 1st 3 quarters of the game, you could make moneyline bets on the Wolves getting long odds. During the 4th quarter, they offered the Nuggets at a juicy price.  Does that seem like an effective way for them to generate the most profit?
