There is a real Sarah Phillips, but the writing she did was most likely mostly done by her boyfriend.  The pictures she used were not her though.

They scammed a covers member out of a few thousand by selling him ad space on a website they have. (I don't quite follow this)

They scammed another guy with a popular Facebook page into giving them the password by claiming to work for ESPN and saying the pictures the guy posted would get him sued, unless they turned over the password, and that they would be partners on a sports comedy website.

ESPN fired her after the Deadspin article.
