instead of trying to set up contests that are heavily favored in 1 direction, why don't we have a discussion?
what will Clemson and FSU beating SC and UF at home prove about the conferences?
It doesnt prove ANYTHING about conferences. Whats so hard to figure out? This is 2 game in the entire span of college football history. 2 teams at home favored by less than a td is "outrageously skewed"?
Nah. After saturday nobody will give a shit about these 2 games. They are ultimately meaningless. The prove nothing as next year and the year after that to infinity will be new kids/coaches....You cant prove anything, but you can change mindsets....
As far as the challenge goes, do you call your online book and tell them there odds arent fair? No, you make the bet thats offered, take the other side, or pass. Its not that hard to wrap your head around. Instead of saying " I wont take that bet because I think I will lose" , you could just pass. Its a free country.

Whether the bet is gonna win or lose, doesn't change the fact that the bets were/are skewed. You just said it yourself. To make this challenge now and then claim it's ultimate proof that the SEC is overrated like Boom is inferring is ridiculous.
Wheres the inferring? Are you saying you wont take the bet because you think hes right and neither FSU or Clemson will lose? Ml parlay will probably pay even money

i'm glad you think it's a pointless contest too.
that was my point the whole time.

#1: calling out SEC homers inferring that this challenge somehow proves that the SEC are paper tigers.
#34 - "Bama is a good football team and deserves the respect.... But Im sick of the rest of them claiming greatness off there accomplishments."
#44 - "I thought the power of the SEC would bitch slap any league around. The middle tier teams are better then any of the best from other leagues, right?" Inferring again that somehow, if the ACC 1 and 2 beat the SEC 3 and 6, that's ultimate proof.
Shall I go on? But you are right, this challenge is absolutely meaningless.

So you're saying you think FSU and Clemson win ?

Hey Boom, I agree with you, FSU and Clemson are both stronger than their respective opponents. I am an SEC hater. As a gambler I couldn't care less but the amount of bias they are getting and the minimal effort put in by SEC teams each and every game (including when playing FCS teams) as well as the NFL-style point shaving / clock-shaving makes me a hater.
FSU and Clemson are probably both better than ND and I would love to see one of them take on the Ducks. ND is lucky Barkley isn't playing for USC.

Never said anything about who I think will win. I do know I was gonna accept the challenge but was already given the run around before officially throwing my hat in the ring so there are still no "takers" to the biggest covers wager ever.
Anyways, in regards to the actual games, I think it's telling that both home teams aren't even giving a TD to these "horrible" SEC teams. Clemson only giving 4 to the #6 SEC team? Isn't this a night game? that's barely home field. I'd like my chances if the challenge was accepted.

I certainly respect you and appreciate the knowledge you bring here, but I do my best to stay away from these "Soap Opera Threads." For some reason, I just wasted 7 minutes of my life reading all of this shit, so I figured I'd chime in. The bet is skewed significantly. A $100 parlay on the ML's of SC/Florida pays about $650, while a $100 parlay on the Clemson/FSU ML's pays about $120. I take action from some serious squares and even they would piss on this bet! You can mention all of the upsets you want, but the bottom line is there is no value at all in accepting the terms you've offered.
FWIW- I think both ACC teams win

has anyone pointed out that the SEC is about to win another NATIONAL CHANPIONSHIP BOOM - you are probably right about your basketball leagues 2 best teams winning at home as favorites over 2 wounded average SEC teams. I will make some money on a parlay here

that is basically the same thing Boom is doing. he is taking 6 pts in 1 game and 4 in the other. so i'll do the same thing and show how skewed it is.
now...wouldn't it be dumb for anyone to take that? and just as dumb for me to pound my chest if i won both?
same goes for Boom's bets.
No, you get the regular spread of +4 and +7 if you want to play. By SEC homer logic, 1 and 2 ACC should be of equal value to 3 and 6 SEC. Apparently the college football world thinks their pretty even aswell, considering UF is # 4 in the country and the gamecocks are 12, and the ACCs are 10 and 11.

Clemson will get bludgeoned by SCar's defensive that game probably will be over by the 3rd just like the last 3 years. UF/FSU, I'm not so sure as they're much closer in talent.
Clemons is probably a top 15-20 team while SCar, UF and FSU most likely top 10 teams. That is if you toss out FSU's loss to NCSt.
I'll take SCar straight up and if you give me the points in the UF/FSU game and I'll take the bet all day. Either way your nonsensical rants about Clemson will more than likely end come Saturday night as they finally play a team ranked inside the top 67.

PAPARAZ......you are either a s.carolina homer or high on coke if you think that s.carolina defense will run over clemsons offense (one of, if not the best in the country) and playing at home...is this the same carolina defense you speak of that gave up 44 POINTS to that offensive juggernaut from gainesville??
amazing how some posters on here are absolutley clueless!!
