And it's not just the weapons manufacturers. Those are obviously the biggest contracts but if and when we get ourselves into boots on the ground skirmishes, there are contracts to do things like build temporary housing, dining, medical facilities, fueling stations, etc. Companies like Haliburton and it's former subsidiary, KBR. Companies like DC Capital. It's all a cash grab.

I know you're being facetious. Here is the irony part, as it relates to Canada. Canada is like the homie who when the shit goes down, they're always down to trade blows by your side. That homie that can actually fight, and you want in your corner, but who you know damn well would rather you stop starting fights with dude. Canada's just chilling at the bar, having a beer, watching the hockey game. The US gets up to go to the bathroom for a bump. Canada looks up and the US is getting into a fight with the guys at the other end of the bar, who were probably minding their own business.

I like to speak in analogies. Here is another. I have been to parties in my life where you know almost everyone there has a gun. And that's fine. You know these aren't simply bad actors. These are real killers. It's fine. Now if all of a sudden guys start taking their guns out, shooting in the air. Everyone mean mugging eash other, maybe you have to assess what you're doing with your life. I don't mind a cold war. The Cold War didn't end with the fall of the USSR. It never ended. It's because if we taught this, the American public would question the necessity of the past 80 years of military spending. We need to paint them as a viable adversary.

He may be honest, but he said ignorant things, him implying that we are in this situation, because of Biden is at least a false equivalence, putin would've invaded Ukraine, regardless who would've been in office. He took Crimea in 2014, without a fight and without consequences, which embolden him to start this war.

That ww3 talk is a pure russian propaganda talking point, they have been raving about nuclear strikes since the start of the war. Ukraine being allowed, to strike into russian territory wont change anything, in terms of escalation. Maybe Ukraine wouldn't have 1/5 of its territory occupied, by Russia, if they had been given the military aid earlier. Russia had so many red lines, HIMARS, ATACAMS, F-16s, nothing happened.
Also, as last point: the military aid, provided by the USA consists mostly of... used equipment that was designated to be destroyed, like the Abrams that Ukraine received. I dunno the splits, between the new weapons and the old ones, but I'm pretty sure the old one are vastly more.

We got lucky that due to our proximity, to the EU, we were literally dragged into the EU and NATO, not because of our political class, which have made institutionalized corruption their only mission. Thanks to the EU we have a better quality of life here than in Russia, and also a higher life expectancy, because even though we have corruption, we also have economical opportunities, since our country is not lead by a dictator and his oligarch gang.
You don't like the US involvement? It was their policy to be the world's police, stop acting like someone made the USA do anything, or that their role didn't come with enormous economical benefits. If the US wants to leave that role, fine, we here in Europe will manage, the only problem is that progress will stop, and the money used for that will be used to make weapons.
