The UK annual rate of inflation rose to 10.1% in September,
up from 9.9% in the 12 months to August, the Office for
National Statistics said on Wednesday.
That returns it to July’s recent high.
Soaring food prices were the largest single contributor to the
acceleration in inflation, jumping 14.6% year-on-year, the ONS said.

Kelly said that Trump’s demands were part of a broader pattern of him trying to use the Justice Department and his authority as president against people who had been critical of him, including seeking to revoke the security clearances of former top intelligence officials.
Trump regularly made his demands in response to news reports in which he thought his perceived enemies made him look bad, including the FBI.
