Sorry I am not trusting the report of a family physician. Zimmerman and his family are still saying the screams in the police call are Zimmerman even though forensic experts say it is a child's voice screaming for help.
If Zimmerman had all of those ailments he would not have refused to be checked out by medical personnel and EMC. He instead goes to a family physician the day after knowing he needed some evidence that would show self defense.
Don't think for one second he didnt consult his father and legal advice before going to his family physician for a check up.
So far the facts known are Zimmerman stalked Trayvon and followed him when instructed by police dispatch to not approach or follow the individual. Zimmerman forced Trayvon into a fight or flight natural response (as Trayvon felt he was in danger after being followed and chased). Zimmerman was the one who initiated and led to the incident occurring by disobeying police dispatchers advice to not approach. Trayvon was eventually shot and killed while being unarmed on a public street.
There is still facts and information that will come and be released. I would rather wait for everything. I still think Zimmerman deserves to be charged with manslaughter (2nd degree seems over the top unless this is more information that is sealed that will show 2nd degree intent). You cant be playing cops and robbers adn taking the law into your own hands when it is not on your property and the person you profile is not breaking any laws.
If Zimmerman left him be then none of this happens.
Asinine
He walked AWAY and got attacked. The video clearly shows damage to the back of his head. Martin is a scumbag. He messed with the wrong guy. No big loss.

So what you're saying is that there is no evidence of 911 telling Zimmerman to stay at his residence. But there is evidence of Martin looking in people's windows? Also, that black people shouldn't be in that area?
And also that Zimmerman was within his rights to confront Martin anywhere, cause an altercation, get his ass pummeled, and then shoot Martin in self defense?

I don't know if there is any evidence that Martin was looking in windows. All I've seen is that Zimmeran said he was walking between the townhomes "looking suspicious" - that is open to interpretation.
Again, there is no evidence anywhere, at all, Zimmerman confronted Martin.

Folks, it really doesn't matter if Zimmerman approached Martin. If I punch a guy in a bar and he pulls out a knife and lunges at me, I have a right to pull my gun and shoot him. Not I might face a charge on the original assault, but just because I started it doesn't mean I forfeit the right to defend myself if things escalate.

unless I missed soemthing here... how is that a fair assessment considering Trayvon didnt have a weapon at all.. he just knuckled up and beat the dudes ass that approached him

Im just glad that when u was 18 someone didnt assume you was up to something Hutch... chase you down and a fight ensued and you got the best of him and so he shoots you to death... im just glad ya know

You are missing the point. The point is, it doesn't really matter if Zimmerman approached him, they got into a discussion, and ended up in a fight. IF Z thought his life might be in danger (and the evidence supports it....along with his story....Martin obviously can't testify), then he is entitled to defend himself EVEN IF HE WAS THE ONE WHO APPROACHED MARTIN IN THE FIRST PLACE.
All this arguing about who approached who is just a waste of time. What is important is what happened ONCE THE FIGHT STARTED.

Hutch just wanted to bring up twice in one week that he's always packing.
I bring it up as often is possible on purpose. It would make me happy if every single US citizen who qualified would carry a gun. I encourage people to go through the course all the time.

That's why I carry a gun and that's why I don't get in fights. Never been in one EVER. And I'm 43.
I'll bet you any amount of money that the confrontation started with a conversation that escalated and then the fight started. Now maybe Zimmerman was completely the aggressor and even baited Martin. Martin could easily have just said he was sorry, told Zimmerman where he lived and that he was heading directly home.
But you and I both know this thing started with a discussion that got heated and led to the fight.
It's called swallowing your pride and staying alive. Because yeah, we live in a world where you can start a fight, have a person get the best of you, kill them, and get away with it.

If Zimmerman left him be then none of this happens.
____________
And if Martin had just said, "yes sir. I just live over there and I'm on may way home. Not up to no good...just coming back from the store," this might not have happened.
Should he have had to do something like that? Seems ass-backward, right? Would I have done that? Your damn right. With this world we live in, you assume nothing. Best way to stay safe is never get into an altercation to begin with.

Hutch, did zimmerman have proper training on carrying a concealed weapon? From everything I have heard on this, if he had he would have done everything possible from avoiding a situation in which he had to use it. From what I am reading/hearing it seemed like Zimmerman took on a roll that no one granted him an exercised some authority he didn't really have.

I believe he had a permit to carry which means he would have gone through the training.
Big difference between going through the training and FOLLOWING IT.
The bottom line is, he may not have violated the law. But he obviously put himself in a situation and got into a fight. But that's not illegal.....just stupid.
But because we have people like Zimmerman out in the world, you have to know what to do when you run into someone like him. Unforutnately, people get emotional.....can't control themselves.....and then things spiral out of control.
BOTH Zimmerman and Martin could haves prevented this IMO. Sounds crass saying the guy who is dead is at fault. But I would bet my life savings that the altercation got heated on both sides. Martin didn't have to escalate things if he didn't want to.
I'm pretty sure Zimmerman didn't just walk up to him, start verbally accosting him and then start punching him with Martin doing absolutely nothing during that time. Is it statistically possible? Sure. You tell me....you think it was likely it went down that way? I don't.
FYI, my instructor actually will allow people to go through his class for FREE. They only pay if they actually get the carry permit. His reasoning? Because it could save your life even if you're not carrying a gun (ie. it's about being aware....learning how to AVOID all conflict).
Another reason I always encourage people to take this class. I am so much more aware of my surroundings....it's unbelievable. I even find myself looking for the best exit avenues / hiding spots when I'm in a restaurant. Just in case someone came in the front door and started shooting the place up. Kind of sad, yes. But if Martin had gone through that type of training, he would probably be alive today.

And yes, Zimmerman made some stupid choices. But the question is, were they illegal choices. We will find out. Him going up to Martin and to confront him was not illegal (even though he was ADVISED not to do so).
What is important is what happened once the fight started.
That's why I wish people would stop with all this, "well, Z confronted him." IT DOES NOT MATTER.
And since Z is the only one who can testify, do you really think he's going to say he started it all by himself and just starting punching Martin with no provocation?
I'm sure he's going to say that he was questioning him, it got heated, and Martin came after him and the fight started. How can anyone prove otherwise?
Z can tell any story he wants. What matters is will the evidence (ie. his injuries) show that he had reasonable belief to think his life was in danger. That's the whole crux of it right there.

So if I punch someone their life is threatened and they are endangered?
But if I stalk someone for quite some time and then chase after them and approach them... that person might not feel their life is endangered?? And then you want that person who was being stalked and chased to tell this older, bigger, random guy where he lives and etc??
Hutch that doesn't make any sense. IF the state charged Z with 2nd degree murder there is definitely some evidence that will show Z never had his life in danger and there might be more wounds to Martin than just a gunshot wound.

SANFORD, Fla. --Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen shot and killed by former neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in February, had drugs in his system at the time of his death, ABC News reported Thursday.
Martin's autopsy report shows traces of the drug THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, were found in Martin's blood and urine, according to ABC News.
The report came shortly after prosecutors announced they would be releasing hundreds of documents in the case to the public Thursday.

There is someone who can tell Martin's side. His GF was on the phone with him while he was being chased and while the incident took place.
There are also police phone call and neighbors who said they heard a young boy screaming for help.
Z is going to have ot be careful with what story he wants to go with being there was a phone call with someone on the other end while the whole incident unfolded.
