Tuesday Money

This is a fun week. Lines are inflated like crazy in MLB for the teams that "must" win for playoffs or they give you "gimme" lines. Than there are teams that you can easily tell have thrown in the towel and the teams that are elimnated but still playing their hearts out. It is my opinion that the last week of baseball is the easiest to make some real jack.

 

Teams that must win always seem to uptight and tense, and the teams that have nothing are loose and relaxed.

 

Up 23.5 units yesterday. I predict I will be shut off from my 8th book by the end of the week.

 

Finished up 262 units last week. Very very nervous on collecting Thursday. Contrary to popular belief, it is sometimes scarier to win a lot than it is to lose a lot.

 

With that said, lets move forward. I am off today and bored so I will enlighten you with small write ups.

 

Obviously everything below will be in a round robin.

 

1. Boston still has a small chance of winning the division, and Boston is always a public favorite. The books give you Boston +100 in a home game in a game they need badly. The public is obviously hammering it. This is a gimme line. Well, Cleveland may be eliminated, but they have been playing great ball last couple of weeks.

 

Play Cleveland ML (I am ahead and love + juice, so I am going to be greedy and play the RL +180.

 

2. The New York Mets need a win very badly tonight. The Cubs have already pretty much clinched everything they need. The Cubs will be more relaxed and play better. 

 

Play Cubbies +110 (wait until the afternoon. Hopefully this will go to +120)

 

3. The Houston Astros threw in the towel weeks ago. They have been playing some very shitty ball. On the other hand, Cincinatti is playing some of the best ball of the year for them.

 Play Reds +105

 

4. Florida waited a little too long to decide to be the Rockies of last year. That still has not prevented them from playing lights out recently. Nationals just want this week to end. I hate the fact that the public is all over this with me, but squares do win too.

 

Plays Florida RL +130

 

5. The Rockies have been struggling to put up some runs the last couple of weeks, and the Giants who normally struggle have put up some. I feel rather confident that any pitcher in the league could look like hall of famers tonight against either team. I am seeing a 1-0 game here.

 

Play San Fran/Rockies under 7.

if your betting 10 units a game you would need to be 26-0...

 

i dont see many guys go on those kinds of runs around here. 

 

what was your winning % to go up that many units

 

 

If it makes you feel any better, only half of it is mine. The other half goes to a friend of mine that was sharing the expenses.

 

If you can find a local that takes round robins than the payoff is huge.

 

Here is a calculator that lets you figure out odds. I did two 8 team round robins on Sunday. One went 6-2 with a +150 in there and the other went 6-1-1 with a +150 in there. You do the math. Those two paid over 400 units, but we were down big on Saturday. The only reason we played the 2 was because of chasing. We were hoping to go 6-2 and 5-3 to get us out of the hole and ahead. We got much luckier.

 

We did straights for 2 units. We did 2's for half unit, 3's for half unit, 4's for .275 of a unit, and 5's for .175 of a unit.

 

I would not suggest that to be the normal wagers. We were chasing and really loved the first round robin.

 

Normally, I play:

 

Straights 2 units

2's half unit

3's .30 of a unit

 

4's and 5's are dangerous and I only play them if I love the card, am chasing at the end of a week, or I am ahead tremendously.

chasing and still managing to squeek out 260 units

roll...why do you insist in allowing yourself to get involved in these types of discussions. it always ends up with you getting pissed off at someone who decides to question what you've won and how you've won it. let 'degenerate' go back into the past weeks threads and figure it out for himself. you say 'round robin' to someone and their eyes go cross and their head starts to spin.

I post here because I like to teach people the round robin method. Most people have no real understanding of it and how well they pay.

I've never questioned your units won, the question was about the sportsbooks no longer accepting your business.

 

You brought it up in your initial post, I simply asked about it.

 

It makes sense now though.

 

I use locals. Be careful for the ones that give you a online account. These guys are just agents for offshore books and they have to pony up the cash if you win. I learned that the hard way. It is very difficult to research locals to know if they are good for big money or not. It sucks very bad.

u close to birmingham. I had never thought about ever going to bama, but have been several times this year on business. I will be there again in a few weeks. Not a bad area as I had thought.

 

I do not know the area very well, but there is a steak house in the area called Michaels that is quite good.
