PIDI,I jumped on Central Mich early at -2 after reading on yahoo last night that Johnson was dismissed for punching some girl in the mouth.She needed ten stitches(Classy type of guy).Central on a win steak/GB Milw was reeling with Johnson.Neil is right.Something stinks.I placed my wager,I have live with it. When Bo Ryan blew out Milw last week he was really sad to do it since they are such great friends and Jeter use to be on his coaching staff. I think Jeter is out as coach, the way Bo acted and the recent news, I just have a gut felling the end is near. They are BAD, VERY VERY BAD and they were a couple years ago pretty good. When that happens, in most cases, the coach is the problem. A kid outside the 10 man roster is starting tonight and they don't know who the fifth is yet.....enough said.

GAME NOTES: The red-hot Central Michigan Chippewas will try to push their season mark to .500 when they take on the Wisconsin-Miilwaukee Panthers this evening in a non-league tilt at U.S. Cellular Arena. The Chippewas opened their season with an 0-5 start. However, since then the team has regrouped and has now won four consecutive matchups, including an impressive 78-67 victory over Michigan this past Saturday. CMU has won its last three games on the road, and is now 3-3 in true road matchups this year. As for the Panthers, their nightmare of a season became even tougher to endure this past Saturday, as the team's leading scorer and rebounder, Torre Johnson was suspended by coach Rob Jeter. Now the Panthers will have to snap their currently six-game losing skid without their main offensive player. The last time UWM was on the court, the team was embarrassed by Wisconsin, falling to the Badgers, 61-39. In terms off the all-time series on the hardwood, the Chippewas have a slim 13-10 advantage. The Chippewas' offensive production has improved drastically this season, and the team is currently averaging a mediocre 71.1 ppg, while shooting a solid 45.9 percent from the field. The main contributor for CMU is guard Giordan Watson, who is netting 17.0 ppg, while also pacing the team with 30 assists. Nate Minnoy is the only other player checking in with double-figures, as the forward is posting 11.8 ppg, while collecting a team-best 5.2 rpg. In the recent 11-point win over Michigan the Chippewas shot over 50.0 percent from the field and connected on 16-of-18 attempts from the foul line. Watson paced the team in the win with 22 points, while Minnoy and Jeremy Allen both tallied 11 points apiece. The task will be much harder for the Panthers now that Johnson is no longer with the squad. Even with the forward the team was having trouble on offensive, netting just 69.5 ppg. With Johnson gone, fellow forward Paige Paulsen is now the only player on the roster for UWM that is averaging double- figures, and comes into this matchup netting 12.8 ppg, while collecting 6.2 rpg. The last time the Panthers took the court the team suffered a terrible loss to Wisconsin. In the 22-point setback UWM tallied just 39 points, shooting 40.9 percent from the field, while committing 17 turnovers. The leading scorer was Johnson with 10 points, while Paulsen posted only two points on a 1-of-6 clip from the field. This would have been a tough matchup even with Johnson on the floor, but the fact the team now has to face the sizzling Chippewas without him makes this game virtually impossible for UWM to win.
