Ok so 4 weeks ago I won 14,500$ with a local bookie.

When the time came to pay he paid me $5,000. Not all $14,500.

The next week came around and I lost $7500, and we minuses from the $9500, left over. Leaving with owing me 2,000.

Next week came around I lost another 7500$. The morning after the week ended, my car was broken into, the cops came after I called them, $4100 cash was stolen from my cars glove box. Wallet was taken, Home Depot Card was used for 1100$ online and my debit card was used for 7200$ online. TD bank told me it takes 14-60 days to get my money back if it’s found as fraud.

I paid the guy the rest of my money to my name , 3000$. Leaving the balance at 2500$. Me having very little money to my name. I lost 6800$ this week. I now owe $9300.

I have zero dollars. I was robbed of a total of Over 12000$. Overall in my career with this bookie I was paid 5000$ and I paid 5000$. So we’re basically at a standstill.

I don’t know what to do;

Money stolen 12000$

Money owed 9300$

Money to my name 95$

Thanks in advance I prayed to the lord the guy would be cool close my account ~ tell me I got fucked with stolen 12000$. Were cool and move on never talk to me again.

The middle man is actually really cool~ he’s like just do what you can.

Thanks hockey. That&#x2019;s a lot of money. No way can I borrow. Not an option. I don&#x2019;t have many options. Besides maybe to move and run away. Dead serious. The main guys are cool, they have MILLIONS of dollars. The middle man is awesome. I got the account through a friend. But I wasn&#x2019;t paid all my money on time, doesn&#x2019;t mean he shouldn&#x2019;t get paid on time,  because to wrongs don&#x2019;t make a right.  Remember years back I won about 5000,  and never saw a dime. (Not this bookie). Legally ALL of this is illegal. I&#x2019;m not afraid of anyone. My father is a Sargent police officer. One word and these guys are in jail for 10 years. They have no clue where I live. I wouldn&#x2019;t do something like that because I believe in Karma.Thanks

Rule number  #1 never ever leave cash or valuables in your car. Example cell phone,lab tops, tablets ,jewerly, power tools. Who the heck leaves $4100 in a glove compartment box?The best thing I can tell you sell your car for what you can get.  Sell all your valuables and anything you have. Get a second job. Give it to the guy and make arangements for payments.By the way these guys are not cool they are not your friends if you cant afford to gamble then you should not be doing this. You went way above your head dude. Also thats B.S. he should have paid you when he owed you and square it away. He had you on the hook until you owed him. I would rather lose my house to mortgage company then to these guys. LET ME REPEAT THIS!! THE BEST ADVICE ANYONE WILL EVER TELL YOU IS TO JUST SAY NO TO GAMBLING. Yeah he fucked me of 9500$. I should have been paid that week. He played me a fool. I&#x2019;m not afraid of these people. I can have them arrested in a heartbeat if I wanted too. I have records of bets, transactions , emails, texts and everything . I had the money that is what most people aren&#x2019;t getting. I will not sell my car. It&#x2019;s not an option. I&#x2019;m 30. Single no kids. Just started unemployment , get PAID BS from unemployment. Been a welder for 12 years busted my behind all my life. But having an addicting personality, hooked on oxies and booking on gambling is getting the best of me. I had 12000$ robbed from me. Had the 4100$ in my GC so my fianc&#xE9; didn&#x2019;t know I was gambling and won some money. I didn&#x2019;t get paid all my garbage and thay was wrong. Why should he get all of his. 1.) Stop gambling

2.) You can work out a payment plan with the fella. He wants his money at the end of the day and a little bit incrementally is better than nothing at all. He will know this.

As illogical as it might be to apply the law (as in contract law) to an illegal situation, your biggest mistake was to continue playing after not getting paid out your winnings. By continuing you tacitly agreed that this arrangement was ok and have now gone on to owe $9300...you DO owe that money.

Second big mistake was to leave $4100 and your wallet in your car...just dumb. Question, if you had been paid out the other $9500 that you had won earlier would that have been sitting in the car too? Maybe you're lucky in a way you didn't get paid that as you would owe way more and still have zero dollars to your name.

You're single, but have a fiance? Am I missing something?

More importantly maybe it's time to do a full stop on everything and try to reboot your life. Your life seems to be trending in the wrong direction. You're 30, used to have a good job but now on unemployment, hooked on drugs, gambling away all your money, and in a relationship where you can't/don't trust your fiancé. Not trying to be a person about it but it's easy to see from the outside looking in that things are not good for you. Stop everything and get some help.

In the grand scheme of life, 9K is not very much money. It certainly isn't much money to any reputable book. However, this book does not sound reputable because he couldn't even pay you 14K.

To me, that suggests the book is a scrub and won't be able to do anything when you tell him the best you can do is start a payment plan. Make small payments (from your unemployment check) until you get your money back from the bank. Then pay off the book and move on with your life.

Life may appear to suck at the moment. But, 6-12 months from now, you'll have forgotten all about this mess. It's really quite minor in my opinion

You guys are all right. Thank you for you much opinionated opinions. I’m wrong here entirely in every way. I’m not trying to sound right or anything like that. There are times in my life where I’m a ducking idiot. And now is me of those times. I’m going through it rough. I lost my father 3 months ago and started down the oxy road, and gambling and just not caring. I’m at the point to where I don’t know what to do anymore. I would go out of my way for anyone that’s the kind of person I am. It was ridiculously stupid to leave that money in my car. I had the door locked. And they punched my window in on my passenger side. Pills money everything gone.

Obviously be completely honest with the bookie which i think you've already done. You're honest with yourself as well which is important. We all have made big mistakes in our lives.

Take care of your mind and health, tell the book you'll need some time to sort out the matter. If he's agressive or shows inclination of being agressive then might be a good idea to talk with law enforcement. They wouldn't bust up his book but they would make certain that you are not harmed.
