Countless times he has pointed out frauds here, a service that is extremely beneficial to the new and/or unsuspecting bettors who come here seeking someone to tail.

His posts are important to a forum that professes to exist to help bettors win. They should be welcomed, with gratitude.

He does not suffer fools gladly, and the fact that he exposes them with a dry wit that triggers his targets and turns then into laughable little rage monkeys (when it doesn't sail over their heads) makes him a must-read in a sea of pulp fiction picks and dime store novel level analysis.

There is a place and method to exposing frauds and entering threads to stalk someone is not really the way to go about it. Holding people to a record and to their own words is valued but there is a point where you can go too far and he does that at time and in this example. Suggesting someone kill themselves by jumping off a bridge is not adding value or uncovering a fraud.

Whoa! What??!! I did not see that. I don't read many posts, very few actually, from all posters. I know first hand, suicide is not to be joked about, and I know the devastating effect it has on families. Delete my comment, it's no longer valid.

 

I still think it is worse when people after a lost bet say they wish the coach dies of cancer etc. Which I have seen go unpunished here on Covers 

It's an unwritten rule of the veteran posters...In most cases the mods and the site appreciate it, and yes, we are sometimes over zealous in going about it but it is needed....the mods and site cannot always be the police so the posters have to do so sometimes...what you are not going to see is the veteran posters on this site running to the help section to rectify shit...it's just not our style, so we confront the posters in our own way...yes, we get boxed sometimes in doing but it is part of the sites mystic...in a way, we are the site, and we have seen the constant clown shows that have gone on here for many years so exposing a fraud, a tout, a lying poster is all part of it whether the mods like it or not...it will not change and we will not change...I applaud people like wmi and others that do this because this is exactly how I feel about it...some people just need to be put in their place to keep the integrity of the site...as a veteran poster here I feel an obligation to uphold standards here even if it doesn't sit well with some mods...like I said, I feel this site is just as much ours as it is COVERS....the mods can't be everywhere or see everything so they need posters like wmi to keep this shit real land in perspective...that's what wmi does, as well as many other around here...I believe it is an unspoken integral part of the situation and dynamic here on this site...it will never change

I rarely read replies to my posts (I'm not the curious type) which is why there are usually no follow-ups from me. I come here for entertainment not conversation. When I do post I offer my opinion, or facts if I have them, and let others make of it what they may. I decided to circle back on this one though.

As they say, there are two sides to every story. And I just saw wmi's.

He said he bumped a post, he didn't write the death wish himself. There's a difference between if someone bumps such a post as an expression of a desire for someone to take their own life (goes w/out saying - totally unacceptable) or to point out a poster is unstable and as such not to be taken seriously. Having not read the thread in question I don't know which is the case.

I haven't read it and I won't; no time. no desire, taken too much time with this already. I'm an always-whistling-a-happy-tune, ain't-life-grand kind of guy. I'm having the time of my life these days, thankful for my blessings and cherishing every minute of my time on the right side of the grass (well, mostly every minute, I had to go for my annual physical last week and THAT sucked. Any of you over 40 know what I mean and will agree, or most of you anyway.) Having not read the posts I don't know the nuances, if it was an implied wish for someone to do self harm as some may interpret it, or not, as others may see it (there are different sides to every story, and differing opinions as well).
