Nice job.  Reminds me of playing in a Razz FreeRole on Full Tilt.  Came in 15th place out of like 2500 people and it paid like $5.  I was bored and didn't mind it, but I think it took like 4 hours or something.  Feels nice to make it through that many people.

the Sunday Million probably has more donkeys in it than the tourney Crus won...sometimes I really wonder what the hell these people are doing dropping $215 for a tournament when they have no idea what they are doing...

    then I remember....Satellites

i'm not bitter but 4th hand during the Sunday Million a couple of weeks ago....

I look down at AA and raise about 4x the blind from UTG + 1.....all fold around to the SB who flat calls.

Flop comes A Q 9 rainbow.....he checks and I bet about 1.5x the size of the pot.

Turn is a 5.....he checks and I figure him for maybe slowplaying Q's...maybe even a silly 10-J or even A-K....I make a decent size bet and figure he has to come over the top or lay it down....well i get neither as he FLAT CALLS again

river is a 6....he goes all in....so ok he has a set of Q's and I have him....no flush on the board no other hand could have hit him considering he flat called me all the way....

I call and he shows....7-8 of spades!!

how this donkey stayed in this hand to catch runner runner is beyond me....I bet every stage of the way....no slowplay and this moron flat calls every street with garbage.....

so there you go....the fact that Crus dodged 4,500 if these people (saving maybe 339 that knew what they were doing) is pretty dame good.....

and the stakes dont mean crap as this happened to me in the biggest weekly tournament Stars holds....

by the way this donkey went on to bust out about an hour later....idiot

That's when you sit there and ask yourself for the entire day..."What the fuck was that clown still doing in the hand?"

Seen it happen to many times, had it happen to me too many times.

normally everyone tells you that you want these type of players in your game...and I agree....when it comes to cash games i would sit with 9 of these clowns and clean house all day...i might lose a couple of these hands a night but you have plenty of time to let the standard variation catch up to you and also plenty of time to outplay these idiots..

in a tournament you dont have the time to outplay these fools and one lucky hands busts you....

thats why I have always said the money is in the cash games....and tournaments have to be played for fun

I love tournament poker but I make a lot more money playing the cash games

    That is quite brutal

BTW you did not have to tell us he busted out shortly thereafter, as much luck as there is in tourneys you CAN'T win anything more then a sit n go if you play like this person did, that is friggin awful.

Username, you gonna stake me? I wouldnt mind  My first in person tournament was in Vegas actually (outside of a friendly one with friends). 75 people or 79 maybe $150 buy in took first was like 2800 or something. Online tournaments I have no luck...well not nearly as much.

That is an awful play on his part Weathered. I get the same thoughts sometimes. usually its more of just bad beats where the person had a "right" to be in the hand with me more so. But I totally agree about the cash games and donkey's as opposed to them in tournaments.

    nice score.

I took down the 3k on bodog and the 5k on sportsbook, but my biggest win was a WSOP satelite for $1800 on party poker back in the day.
