I am usually the chip lead or near there, and another guy has a big chip stack too near mine or maybe more, and there's one guy who has barely anything.
say we both have 3500 and the low stack has 1000
Now my style is to be aggressive when the small stack goes all in. I'll play A-Q or even K-J or something against his low pocket pair. It's worth the risk to knock someone out.
But the problem is the other douchebag just sits there and doesn't even chance knocking the other guy out. H'ed probably laydown AQ if the other guy pushes all in. And he won't go heads up with me much either.
I know the answer is to probably have patience but it's fucking hard when you are willing to gamble to knock somoene out and theo ther idiot just sits there. I swear this happens to me very often.

I see it all the time.....and it can be frustrating....but the other guy put himself in a good position. Why give that up on a coin flip? Do those chip leaders play too tight? Maybe. But it's pretty predictable IMO.
BTW, I play SNG's almost exclusively so I know what you're talking about.

My suggestion is to start taking his blinds as often as possible. That should overcome you losing any all in hands to the low stack. Just raise his blind 2.5 times and if he is playing this way he will prob fold often and if he goes over the top then you are not priced in and can still fold. Just my opinion and I am no great player but that is tool I use for guys like that.
