Makes me NOT miss online poker so much. 

Doesn't really matter where you play them... There will be lots of strange plays/hands in $2 tournaments.

Whether it is play money or a $100 buy-in, the software should be the same.  So are you sayiing the lower stakes are rigged for action flops?

A more appropriate title would be "Only in $2 tournaments do you see hands like this"

As others stated, LOTS of wacky stuff happens in "micro" tournies... no one really respects their buy in (or the pay out) so they shove with garbage. The more "all ins" you see the more suck outs you are likely to see.

The kings only have 54% equity pre-flop... it's not uncanny that they lose here.

I completely agree with everything you say, but I was referring to the flop.  Yes, $2 tourneys are just showdown poker/Bingo.
