He didnt have two accounts to his name but his brother who got shipped off to iraq had a fulltilt account so there was the same address for two accounts. This made them think it was fraud and when he emailed them explaining the situation, they tended mostly to ignore his emails sending back a generic response. Then they asked for verification of id and he faxed taht in same day, a few days later they finally respond saying now they need the info for the other account. But he had already told them that he didnt know what email the account was registered under, didnt know the password and couldnt contact his brother for this. They were less than understanding, to say the least, they basically said for a while that they couldnt do anything even though he proved his account was valid and so they left the money frozen in the other account. Oh yeah i forgot to say when they thought that multiple account fraud had occured they shipped all the money to the old account and then froze them both; not that he couldve gotten on the old one anyway b/c he didnt know any of the info. So this has been dragging on since around early january, id say around the 6th and its the 30th now. And fulltilt doesnt have customer service that you can call which is the biggest pain in the ass ever. So in his last emails he sent he told them he just wants the money cashed off and has sent in proof of id and residence, to which they respond that he has to email from the old account's email (because thats where they transfered the money). Which he doesnt know what it is nor would he have access to b/c its his brothers account. Maybe the situation wasnt a standard one but still there is no reason this should be happening.
