She probably thought she was in a stud tourney.  "I call, I have Queen high".  Opponent shows a pair of dueces and muck his hand.  Thater thinking to herself "Oh my god! Another player mucks the winning hand!"

I think most of these so-called "pros" are broke anyways.  Asking Mike Matusow for 25K was a degenerate, classless move by Clonie.  I guess she thinks that since they are both with Full Tilt, it is okay to bum off of others. 
 
And Vanessa Russo was such a dumb bitch for calling in the 1st place with an A4 off suit BEFORE the flop!  In order to play in these big cash games, you have to be either a good-looking female or have won a major tourney, even if you probably didn't deserve to. (Such as dorks like Jamie Gold and Chris Moneymaker and a hot poker dork like Jennifer Tilly).

i agree100%  russo is not any good imo despite her 750k career win
she berates people at her table all the time and the only reason she is so well known in the poker world is because she is a half decent looking woman in a game dominated by not so good looking men lol
 
in the real world she is just average , i have sat with her at the tables and she isnt as hot as some people think, she is going out with the roid king himself   aka chad brown

Clonie has a great ass I saw her at the NBC heads up when I was in Vegas, she was hanging around Shannon Elizabeth none stop all 3 days.  hopefully Shannon goes broke and starts selling her ass I will be in line for that.  Why do people constantly have to defend themselves if they made the right or wrong play.  Its fucking poker one hand it works the next it doesn't.  Like slowrolling aces sometimes it works other times you take it in the ass.  Its fucking poker.

1. A4 isn't all that bad from late position, and lets not forget she actually had the best hand pre-flop.
2. Watch Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow after a bad beat
3. thats about looks and looks and poker really don't mean anything together.
4. Pros do this all the time at the cash tables, hell it seemed as if Matusow would have given clonie some money if he had it.

I LOVE these 2 videos, I could watch that second one over and over again, I don't think brat was the word.  She should of realized right away that she was not out of dangerous waters, how many times have we all seen people celebrate like this at the table only to lose.

I made up my mind as the play progressed, and I cannot blame her for some things, while blaming her big-time for some others.  And even though I know the outcome, here's my analysis:
 
I think calling pre-flop with 96 offsuit when 3 people were already in the pot was a GOOD move by her.  I would figure them for high cards, it only cost her $600 to call, and you can hope for a rag flop of 2-pair, trips to the 6s or 9s, or a flopped straight or straight draw. 
 
After the flop is where she gets stupid.  Calling or folding the $1400 bet was the only logical play for me.  I can't fault anyone for EITHER decision.  But going over the top all-in was MORONIC. 
 
Let's say she CALLED the $1400 flop bet and caught 2-pair on the turn.  That's when you HOPE he has a high pair and you now go all-in, as high 2-pair heads up with that board is pretty strong. 
 
And if his AA then outdraws you on the river, as it did, then so be it.  You would've gotten ALL your chips in with the best of it (over a 4/1 favorite going into the river), and now he would've sucked out on you. 
 
Once again, IMO, the only bad play she made in that hand was reraising all-in after the flop.  And it was RETARDED even if she would've won the hand with a dead river card for him.  Any jackass knows that he was unlikely to bet out again on a miss with all those players in the pot.  She made the worst decision at the worst possible time.

- Why would you assume that they ALL have high cards, if i was at the table i would assume that someone probably has a pocket pair, maybe some overcards but really there is just no reason to be playing 6-9 off suit from the small blind. I dont really watch that show but i know on high stakes poker, someone could very easily  have her dominated with a hand like a9 or a6 suited or 98/97 type hand.
 
-From the small blind, why would you want to play against that many people out of position, odds are she isnt gonna be flopping the nuts and if she flops top pair, she could get herself commited (hmmm).
 
- The announcers were talking about how she is short stacked now, and i know that when i get short stacked in a cash game there are 2 types of hands that i am looking for, one is AK maybe AQ or 1010-AA, these when facing a raise because your opponent is likely to call and these hands put you in best position for a double up. If there are limpers you could play more drawing hands, not really a 69 type hand (i especially wouldnt want to be playing this to a raise), more like some suited connectors, gapped suited cards, maybe a medium ace.
 
-Why would she just call on the flop, that may be just about the only thing she did right this hand. In this situation she either needs to just fold or go all in. He could very easily be following up a bet with a hand like 88 or 77 that he thinks may be good or possibly ak (i dont really know how this guy plays). However if she just calls, she is basically saying i have a 9 that i dont know is good so im gonna call you down the whole way. By raising, to me, that says that she didnt put him on an overpair and so she thought she was good on that flop so she wanted her money in there. Turned out to be a bad read, but what can you really expect from a bad player.

By calling, she is NOT saying she has a 9.  she could be slow playing a set, calling with a high pair, or calling with AK.  Her calling definitely had him confused, but he figured he wasn't throwing away AA heads up after the flop.

if she had a high pair, she would reraise preflop or postflop (she is no the caliber of pro capable of being comfortable slowplaying an overpair to that extent), ak im hoping she would have the discipline to fold and a set, she'd probably go all in considering how little money she had left.

well you've got me beat for the last 3 months so congrats
infact you probably have me smashed for the calender year (27k basically didnt play much after neteller went to shit until mid march - i wish i had your enthusiasm for live poker but unfortunatly it bores me to tears)
but i averaged 19k a month last year and 13k a month in 2005- about 1500-2000 a month of that was from rakeback/bonuses
i dont have to come in here and blow myself after every winning session like you do but you asked

you tell me how much u made the last 3 months (the best 3 months of your life) and I admit you have me beat
3-4tabling 5/10 NL on bodog/pacifc (when bodog had unlimited reloads it was even better) when those games were still great was 150-200 an hour and I admit im not a great player by any strecth of the imagination. I think you severly underestimate game selection.
Do the math

Tipping a dealer huge for winning a big pot is stupid plain and simple espeically if you do this for a living
Most people dont realize hwo much rake and tipping eats away at there profits (Im not saying to stiff them but they make damn good money if you tip them a buck a pot on a small pot and 2-3 on a big one for what they do)

if someone comes in here asking for advice in a nice way I will give it to them in a nice way especially if they are a knew player- when i first started playing i couldnt read a fcking board correctly
But when they post a hand they obviously fucked up in adn swear up and down that the other player was the donk  and cant take crtiisism too fucking bad

You dont get better at poker by living in denial
If you are objective with yourself and your plays (what you fucked up and what was a bad beat./cold deck) you will improve a lot fast than if you never try to get better
There is no such thing as a perfect poker player so everyone can improve until they die.

If you half as good as you say you are and are shocked at the number ive thrown out you really missed the gravy train the last 2-3 years online.
