After seven grueling hours of bad beats (giving and taking), I managed to finish in 7th. $1,125 payday.
Pretty good return, but man, what a grind.
Live tourney 10 hours at the Venetian deepstack came in 6th I think out of 300 and change.
Fuckers chopped 1 orbit after I got knocked out.

First time in Vegas, back in 2005 - I was a 21-year-old college student playing my first poker session at the Plaza. We started off playing 4/8 limit. I bought in for $100 and played for roughly 18 hours straight. At one point had a three-tiered pyramid castle (red chips hiding in the back), I estimated about $500 in front of me. We started mid afternoon at roughly 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and I left around 8 a.m. the next morning. Pretty much was hitting everything, but could not beat a particular player. He was spiking three-outers (my KK v AJo, A on river) all day on me, but I was getting hit in the head with the deck the entire session (flop a set, opponent turns a flush, I river boat).
I ended up leaving because the dealers would deal to me for an entire shift, get a knack for what I was playing, and sat down at the table when my shift was over. That and I think I was bored, and drunk/hungover.
The longest poker session ever was 3/6 limit at Prairie Meadows in Des Moines, Iowa my senior year of college. From Thursday night after class until Saturday morning, however I had more than one dinner break, obviously. I don't remember the results of the session just that dealers had come and gone multiple times.

had about 12 drinks, when i got up to finally leave my legs were like jello and thats when i realized how drunk i really was
Walked away with just under $400... and yeah the drinks aren't free in Ontario so i really should have been up closer to $500

Once, the day of the junior world championships
apparently its all regulars that bleed money, me and 2 other buddies sat down, played 1/2 doubled up in an hour. Everyone knew everyone by name. it was actually depressing, how can you make a living playing 1/2 NL??? I get if it's a hobby, but a couple of guys dumped $300 multiple times. I guess some people just have more money for their hobbies than i do.
Do you play there often?

ahhh the memories.....112 hours at niagara falls, played 1-2 back in the day when the buy in was $40-100.
all i wanted to do was sit infront of a tv and watch a 1pm football game i had serious money and shoot a little poker in the meantime...started with $40, tripled up on the first hand i posted when the button past me, doubled up a few hands later, so now i'm sitting on about $250 minutes within sitting down, and the game was super juicy and deep from a bunch of deepstack degens from the night before still going after each other...i sit in the bushes for a while, triple up thru the deeps again, now i'm sitting around $800, and the hours just turn into days....thursday morning the OPP comes and tells me i have to leave for "medical reasons"...people still talk about that session.
cashed out $6600 from my original $40 buy-in.
