A Pennsylvania postal worker who garnered Republican attention over allegations that officials tampered with mail-in ballots in the swing state has recanted his claims.
The House Oversight Committee announced Tuesday that Richard Hopkins went back on his assertion that a postmaster in Erie, Pa., told workers to backdate ballots mailed after Election Day after he was questioned by a U.S. Postal Service inspector general. Hopkins had signed a sworn affidavit attesting to his claims.
Hopkins’s claims had been widely touted by Republicans and were at the heart of a letter from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to the Justice Department urging it to open a federal probe. Attorney General William Barr subsequently gave the green light for prosecutors to investigate credible allegations of voting irregularities and fraud.

Not much was said here on Covers about the Crossfire Hurricane hearings yesterday, but I listened to the entire hearing on Sirius radio. For those that missed it, the FBI came out of those hearings looking like a completely compromised arm of our government. The corruption in our FBI is disappointing and an embarrassment to our country.
When asked how Comey and McCabe, the #1 and #2 heads of the FBI did not conduct a single interview (McCabe denied ever having met any of the 3 whistleblowers in the fake Russian election scandal) with any of the whistleblowers in the biggest investigation in FBI history, McCabe was full of "I can't recall" deflective statements. Republican senators repeatedly asked if they were simply INEPT at doing their jobs or if they colluded with Democrats to interfere with Trump's election efforts.
They had ZERO answers.
The FBI is no longer a reputable institution.
It just sad how the Democratic party corruption is leaking into every facet of government.

I don't have a TV and not around a radio that much.
However, I did get to hear Sen. Blackburn breaking this whole situation down for a radio host. She had great insight into it and was pointing out all of the pertinent details very efficiently.
It was a very perspicacious analysis by her.
It will be very interesting going forward how this all shakes out for sure.
