New Hampshire Secretary of State says over 4000 democrats have switched to Republican or Independent just prior to the Republican primary.
In an obvious attempt to interfer with democracy and the Republican Primary these desperate folks will obviously attempt to derail the will of Republican voters.
Meanwhile CNN pedals lies saying; At a campaign event in Portsmouth on Wednesday, Trump falsely claimed that New Hampshire laws “allow Democrats to vote in the Republican primary.” He also said, “Nikki Haley is counting on Democrats and liberals to infiltrate your Republican primary.” Obviously it is true.
Just like in 2022;
Political groups and nonprofits aligned with the Democratic Party have spent nearly $44 million on advertising campaigns across five states’ Republican primaries to boost the profile of far-right candidates in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Maryland.
Democrats strategy is rooted in the belief that these candidates — many of whom spread unfounded claims that the 2020 presidential race was stolen from former President Donald Trump — will be easier to defeat in a general election.
Any dirty trick they can dream up and do, it seems they will do it.

How is it a dirty trick when it is perfectly legal? This isn’t a revolutionary idea, many other states that have open primaries.
A dirty trick would be fabricating evidence and lies about how a candidate won the last election when they really lost, going 0/64 in lawsuits based on these lies, trying to stop the vote counting and disenfranchising the majority of the voters who voted for the winner, then continuing to lie about it years later. Call it a dirty trick, call it treason, call it what it is - illegal.

It is interesting isn't it? Republicans claim to be the party of law and order and all for state's rights for creating voting laws, yet when voters act in accordance with their respective state voting laws for primaries, they get very angry and upset when things do not go their way. Very dishonest and whiny bunch.

The mindset here is so sad. New Hampshire creates a procedure whereby those who identify as Independent can participate in democracy by voting in a party's primary. 4000 democrats decide to make a mockery of that procedure and use it in a selfish attempt to influence the vote. And it's called a strategy?? There are over 360,000 registered repubs in New Hampshire.
Which way do you think Independents will sway when they see this nonsense? Obviously this procedure will need to be changed in the future and Independents will have a lesser say in New Hampshire. There are only 27% registered as dems in this country. Much more are Independents and dems need their votes. Dems just lost more I believe. Every applauded act like this makes one reflect back to 2020. What strategies were applauded then?
So what's the next strategy for the main election? Using states that don't require ID to get maybe non-citizens to vote? Ballot harvesting?

Given the current state of the country, and if a person has even a passing familiarity with the 'shire, isn't there a chance that 4000 Democrats sincerely and legitimately changed party. There are a ton of never Trumpers that are looking at Uncle Joe, and then looking over at Nimarata Haley like, "You know what..."

Plus here's the rub. 4,000 votes aren't going to swing New Hampshire for Nasty Nikki and Democrats should be careful what they wish for. I believe Nikki Haley could and would beat Biden in a general election. She would swing tons of people who voted for Biden as a vote against Trump. People don't rock with Biden like that and I predict steep turnout drop off in the minority vote and the female vote. I don't anticipate Biden will carry any swing states. Not Ohio. Not Pennsylvania. Not Florida. Not Arizona. Not Georgia. Maybe Nevada.

Are you admitting that you are also the OP Uniman? Way to expose yourself pal. My reply was clearly to original thread creator. Maybe you forgot to switch accounts again? I never reply or respond to Spock account, which I know is also other accounts, but never suspected UNIMAN as being you too, until you just outed yourself. Way to go. What a weirdo, guy was not even in this thread, and I certainly did not refer or quote Spock anywhere in this post.

Good posts Stu, and I agree 4000 will make at most a little dent. My bet is the majority of that 4000 is an isolated group of dems in one area.
And what has not been mentioned here is that Joe Biden is not listed for dems in New Hampshire since he and the dem party thumbed their nose at New Hampshire's primary. They can write him in if they want.
It's all in bad taste IMO.

Because Uniman is trying to make something out of nothing, that’s why. This is normal behavior, many states have open primaries. Just more faux outrage from the Trump outrage machine (Uniman is parroting a Trump talking point. Trump doesn’t like people voting for Haley, so he has to fabricate something to make her supporters sound illegitimate or something. Either way, Orange Man mad! lol)
