Sen. Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, has been suspended from YouTube for seven days over a video claiming that masks are ineffective in fighting Covid-19, according to a YouTube spokesperson.

“This resulted in a first strike on the channel, which means it can’t upload content for a week, per our longstanding three strikes policy,” the spokesperson said. “We apply our policies consistently across the platform, regardless of speaker or political views, and we make exceptions for videos that have additional context such as countervailing views from local health authorities.”

YouTube indicated that examples of the offending content in the video included the line:

“Most of the masks you get over the counter don’t work. They don’t prevent infection.”

It also included the quote: “Trying to shape human behavior isn’t the same as following the actual science which tells us that cloth masks don’t work.”

A private enitity has the right to rule as they wish.

Her fellow GOP member Dan Crenshaw & former Navy Seal said "That Marjorie scoffed at the notion of supporting anti-censorship legislation is indicative of her true intent: to remain a victim. She got temporarily blocked from Facebook as well and had a violating posting removed.

Twitter deserves praises for doing the right thing to stop her lies.  Disinformation is a key reason why some people refuse to get vaccinated.  Kaiser family foundation estimates  690,000 covid hospitalizations could have been prevented by vaccination from June to November 2021.  At least billions of dollars spend if average cost is $20,000 per hospitalized patient,  Better to prevent infection than to treat illness.

The racist, radical-partisan, Georgia rep. has a LONG history of embracing baseless conspiracy theories, and she has been a serial tweeter of false claims -- about the election, the Capitol insurrection and other subjects -- since gaining her seat in November, 2020.

Twitter had previously temporarily restricted Greene's account for spewing misinformation about the 2020 presidential election and Covid-19.

Greene's ban comes almost a year after the platform banned disgraced former President Donald Trump in the wake of the deadly January 6 insurrection which he incited.

YouTube permanently bans Fox News host Dan Bongino for evading his suspension for repeat "Covid misinformation"

Fox News Channel host Dan Bongino on Wednesday became among the most-followed conservative personalities to be permanently banned from YouTube, a week after the Google-owned video service said he had posted Covid-19 misinformation.

YouTube had already suspended one of Bongino’s YouTube channels on Jan. 20

Last September, it banned conservative commentators such as Joseph Mercola and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for spreading misinformation about vaccines.

There's zero logic to any of it....at all.

Fakebook has stated in court docs that their "fact checkers" are actually opinion based. YouNube is very likely the same along with twatter.

If "fact checkers" are actually "opinions" what does that tell you about the censoring? If these tech cos can censor for "miss information" then they need to provide the factual data. But they can't and they won't.

People applauding censorship are the problem. If people continue to push this agenda (such as people with Rogan right now), eventually everyone will become sheep and follow whatever the narrative is. Disagreeing opinions is what make encourages critical thinking. Without that we have nothing. 

Censorship is necessary.  Misinformation doesn't make people smarter.  Over 270 scientists, doctors, nurses and health professionals have singed a petition urging spotify to stop Rogan promoting misinformation endangering public health.  Since controversy attracts audience, he presents a false balance like there are two sides to scientific evidences when there really is none.  The science is clear that vaccines are safe and effective.  But vaccine hesitancy has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths that could have been prevented in pandemic.  World health organization lists anti-vaccine movement as one of the top health threats in the world.

that "allegedly" Democrats run the unhealthiest cities in the nation.

Dan Bongino, host of FOX NEWS' “Unfiltered” — who has been
      permanently banned by Youtube.com for spinning COVID lies
— savaged Democrats in his “Tale of Two Cities” episode
for running what a dramatic map behind him targeted as
the “Top Ten” unhealthiest cities in America.

But, oops — all the cities clearly labeled in the map Bongino displayed,
including San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Honolulu, Washington, Austin
and Denver — are the healthiest in the country, according to a 
WalletHub analysis,  the very source cited by Bongino!    

That "catch-phrase" which Midnight1 frequently uses just seems to fit here
