can you imagine a republican putting the sanctity of a life of someone who has already been born over the profits of our oil industry and defense industry? i'm surprised she didn't end up face down in a ditch somewhere.

So true, they always stand up for the "life" of a "baby" but are quick to take someones life away with a life time criminal record for possession, imprisonment, torture, or bombing a bunch of people.
Its always weird when you read about politicians seeming human and capable of thinking. They still look like they live aliens though. All politicians seem to.

ok, back to normal. it's not raining cats and dogs and conservative republicans are still "supporting the troops" by raping them when they get back and using their patriotci status to set up harities and throwing pennies at them while the rich and government officials get the bulk of the "charity".
you know you're a conservative rightwinger when this is going on:
Her troubles are more grim news for the governor, who has had a rocky
time keeping top staff and agency heads. Carroll herself had been in hot
water for racking up $300,000 in travel expenses during her first year
in office, causing Scott to put her on a strict $10,000-per-month
budget.
this is not the secretary of state for the country but the lieutenant governor of florida whose job is basically to sit around and do nothing. oh, and spend taxpayer money.

Morella said. "There was also the idea that we had not gone through checking with the UN and getting support of allies. We were doing this unilaterally.
The coalition that assisted with OIF was larger than the one involved in Operation Desert Storm.
She is a bozo.
Ron Paul is a racist loon
Lincoln Chafee is a Democrat

Do you have any posts, even just one, criticizing Democrats for wasting taxpayer money?

You're right 14daroad. I guess today's republicans are more vocal and enthusiastic about killing and hurting people publicly. Today's R's are like Muslim terrorists who dance and shoot their weapons in the air after sentencing or a death and dems are just quiet about it but are still for killing though.

yes, search any post i've written about obama since he's taken office and you'll find what you are looking for unless it's about immigration which is one issue i think he's right on.
but you're right, i'm much more critical of republicans. but i don't really care that much about democrats. i want to be a republican. i want to be a part of a fiscal conservative, small government party. i know that isn't going to be the democrats so i typically write them off. i am more critical of republicans because at some point in time, they were, at least to some degree, a party i could live with. now, they've gone completely off the deep end and 180 degrees the other way and are more fiscally liberal and bigger government than anyone.
and then there is the religious crazy part which i'll often comment on and i see much more of that, maybe all of it, on the right than the left.

plus, see any comment i've made about gun control since the connecticut shooting and you will see that i side with the republicans and think the democrats position is dumb, ineffective and opportunistic.

The Ds and R's are not much different. Many supported the Iraq war. Personally, terms limits and abolish corp money in politics and we may have a hope.

A little late for that my friend. Eisenhower warned us on his way out the door. Nobody listened and fifty years later we are all totally F u c k e d by the corporate machine.
George Carlin was right on the money... We don't have any choices. We have the illusion that we have choices. The owners of this country control everything from what you eat to how you wipe your azz. It's a big country club and guess what?
You don't belong. You're not in the club.

I'd love to see term limits, vote all politicians out at this point regardless of their affiliation to either party.
I personally like Rand Paul and Paul Ryan.
Ryan? No. No hope for this geek with mainstream Americans.
Rand Paul, however, gets it. On jailing people for recreational use of Marijuana and over filling jails on small amounts of possession...
"States should be allowed to make a lot of these decisions," Paul said.
"I want things to be decided more at a local basis, with more
compassion. I think it would make us as Republicans different."
Not different Rand, but in tune with the Voting Public for a change.
If the Republican Party could actually embrace some of the Libertarian views, they could start fighting back the Dems.

I agree and disagree with you about Paul Ryan. No hope as you say with mainstream Americans, but that's because of the sad fact most Americans are either misinformed or uninformed. I thought Paul Ryan would have made a great VP or even better Prez than Romney.
I really like Rand Paul - don't necessarily agree with every view of his, but I identify with him the most out of most GOP candidates or just politicians in general. He will have a hard time against Rubio though, as Rand Paul is more liberterian such as myself, just don't know whether the GOP as a whole is ready to move in that direction.
I'd love to see more Republicans, not just politicians, but also the voting public - start to move toward the center on social issues while holding ground on gov't.
And I completely agree about States should be deciding more of these issues rather than the Fed Gov't

See, VP Biden just spent over $500,000 for a single night in a hotel room and the Democratic Chair of DCCC just complained her staffers can't afford meals (some of them make $100K+) because of the sequester.
Notice all the posts by club dirt criticizing them?
Me too.

Yes, but that isn't responsive to the point.

It is not responsive to point in terms of addressing the idiocracy of the spending by Biden and the complaints of staffers that you mention.
It is responsive to the point that you are trying to blame Club for something that you are very guilty of as well (as are most of us in here). I just find it to be a little ironic that is all.

but americans thought differently in the voting booth... It seemed like Romney's numbers plummeted after adding paul to the ticket

Ryan is a Geek
I think that beating the dead horse to a pulp on the gun issue doesnt help them at all... but yet they keep doing it... could you imagine how many independents, moderates and perhaps dems they could convert to GOP if they simply took a neutral stance on THC?
they dont have to encourage it... just not continue to take such an asinine extreme anti-THC stance to turn off the rising majority of people in the 21st century that have expanded their minds at some time in their life... but the GOP is stuck in the 20th century with their brains being failiure to launch...

Uh, except I'm not "guilty" of it at all.
See, I don't come here pretending to be some moderate or non-partisan critic. Further, I criticize politicians based on issues and principles. Clubdirt does not.
You do not.
But thanks.
