 Well, your 1st link goes back to 2015 & specifically was President Obama's demand that the "Dreamers" had to be included in any legislation & Republicans did not agree with that stance.

The 2nd link basically does away with asylum seekers & promoting the wall building fiasco. Both non-starters for discussion.

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott tore into Democratic city and state leaders struggling to accommodate migrants from the southern border, calling out the hypocrisy of sanctuary cities.

"Something has been revealed during this entire episode, and that is the very real hostility that Democrats have against illegal immigrants," Abbott told "America's Newsroom" Thursday. 

"They profess to be sanctuary cities and sanctuary states. They want to welcome them in until they actually do come in. And then when they come in, they say, no, no, no, no, no, we don't want them here, we want to send them back to Texas. They're for illegal immigration as long as it's Texas and the border states that have to deal with that illegal immigration."

Shipping migrants to other cities is a political stunt that doesn't solve any problem.  Under the Constitution, being an illegal migrant isn't a crime.  So non-citizens still qualify for basic health, education and social services.  There is no federal law against sanctuary cities.  Legally, they aren't required to report or detain migrants to federal government unless in investigation of serious crime.  Deportation is the job of federal government but not states.  Local police can still arrest migrants who commit crimes.

Sure it does.  It moves those to someone else's city, usually someone supposedly more 'sympathetic' to them and it shows them you do NOT want them in your city.

And they are 'illegals' not 'migrants' -- big difference.

House GOP threatens to impeach secretary of homeland security.  But an impeachment inquiry would be baseless and lack bipartisan support.  Historically, no administration can completely control immigration.  Apparently, House republicans are more interested in political stunts than in solving problems because they have blocked extra funding  requested by Biden to increase deportations. 

According to Cato institute, data shows that even if Trump is still president, there wouldn't be any more migrants deported than under Biden.  In fact, a higher percentage of border crossers are removed despite having to deal with greater numbers due to global displacement crisis.    The reason why people are released is because of limited capacity to detain and deport them.  Not policy.  Since tougher law enforcement has failed, any president should focus on reforming legal immigration to fix border problems.  Stronger US economy tends to attract more immigration.

Nearly 2,000 migrants being sheltered in a tent shelter in New York City are being transferred to a nearby high school, where the students will have to pivot to remote learning due to the disruption it is causing – sparking outrage from residents and local politicians.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ office said it is moving 1,900 migrants from the tent shelter at Floyd Bennett Field for safety reasons due to the incoming storms and potential high winds. According to the New York Daily News, Adams told reporters that it was being done out of an "overabundance of caution."

 Right on spock...and those cities have no idea of the impact, trouble and strife that the border crisis is causing those fellow Americans in those cities that neighbor the borders, nor the financial burden it creates by continuing to allow this shit show to continue. People up north can easily pass blame or shame when it's not in their city, but the minute it comes to their town they can't handle the truth of it all...get real people...this ain't the tree falling in the forest story and whether or not anyone heard it...oh, it's been heard and you are feeling the impact on a smaller scale...you people of the north are impacted with a few of these migrants...try putting yourself in the shoes of your fellow Americans who live in the southern states that are enduring this on a very large and wide scale...your shit in the north is a fraction of what it is down south....get a grip
