Many gaffs for Joe Biden on the Howard Stern show. They may need to step in soon with the twenty-fifth amendment. We cannot allow his mental decline and state of dementia to be seen much longer. They are hiding him and when he goes places they always have someone shielding him for cameras.
Hope Jill and his family simply say he cannot function any longer at the level required for the position.

I thought about this thread a few days ago. I was back in California. I have been helping my best friend with a carpentry project. Some decking, some outdoor stairs. By helping, I mean doing it mostly on my own. I'm in town often enough on business, and have been working on it a couple hours here, couple there, when I have the free time on trips. Totally free, as it's my best friend, and I am not hurting for money.
So there I am with a few hours to work on the project in the early afternoon when my boy hits me to say he's been called in to work so i'm on my own. He didn't get a chance to pick up materials but his truck keys are at the house if I don't mind going. And his wife is out with the boys. She usually makes lunch when I visit. So now my boy is going to not only get free labor out of me, get supplies bought for him because i'm not about to ask him for the money back, but no lunch to boot. Get to his house, grab the truck, head to Home Depot. I'm like, "Shite, well I guess I gotta eat lunch on my own before I get started." There's a McD right there. I say f*ck it. I almost never eat McD. And on the rare occasions that I do, it's breakfast. I order a meal. It's like 10 bucks. And the it hit me. 10 bucks is about what I remembered a meal at McD costing. Even in California, with their $20 fast food minimum wage, fast food prices had yet to skyrocket. McD value meals were like 4 bucks when the debuted. That was over three decades ago. How much would you have them cost now?
So I leave you all with this.
1) McDonald's is horrible. Worst fastfood burger. In&Out and Shake Shack is worlds better. In&Out is moderately priced but Shake Shack is like twice the price of McD.
2) If you can't afford McDonald's, don't eat McDonald's. You won't be missing anything. And if it cost your family of four $50-$60 to eat at McDonald's, then you need to check your caloric intake. Don't get it supersized. Don't get a Mac-damn-flurry. My $10 meal was like an entire day's worth of calories.
3) Fastfood workers "making to much money" is not issue. They definitely don't. The entire economy is unbalanced and things like this are simply corrections. If a business can't pay their employees decently and still turn a profit, then I would argue they are operating under a poor business model, and maybe they should fold. I mean, when did fastfood restaurants, convenience stores, etc. start asking for tips at the credit card reader? What is really the problem? Franchise costs too high? Is it the oversaturation of the big 4 fastfood restaurants? The ridiculous advertising costs? I've never seen a Shake Shack commercial. The chicken nuggets are coming home to roost. If you're going to build a successful business in today's world, it's probably not going to be on the backs of underpaid labor.

And McDonald's is legit horrible. The only good part of my meal was the orange Hi-C. Even the fries were a bad batch. Make your own burgers. I literally grind my own beef and experiment with different blends. These days i'm all about smashed on the griddle. You don't have to go that far though. You can make burgers and fries for your family of better quality for half the price. Fast food was meant for road trips. You're paying for convenience.

I don't believe we have seen the change in food price yet as they need time to evaluate the adjustment. I know some companies have laid off employees but one the numbers start coming in and can be analyzed we will see cost adjuatments..keep in mind this new minimum wage just started April 1st so not even a month...we will see the adjustment soon and that 10 dollar meal will become 11.50 or more shortly.

Small world. Refacing my 24x16 deck now that the weather is breaking here in MI. New deck and handrail.
As far as minimum wage up to $20 see it not much different than UAW's new contract or Trump's tariffs to try and save some of our steel industry. All will end up costing consumers more at some point. The way it's always been. Mom and Pop businesses will be hurt the most, big businesses like McD can absorb it better giving them an advantage.
Ever try Culver's Stu? In-n-Out highly overrated to me. Fresh but that's about it.

We're a country that routinely pays 4.50 for shitty Starbuck's coffee. Paying $11.50 for shitty McDonald's is not alarming. Another fast food story. I don't eat a ton of it so this was a few months ago, and in Oregon, not Cali. The wife and I are out shopping. We stop at Shake Shack for lunch. She gets a single, no fries, but a cola. I get a double, with fries, but I drink water. It was over 30 bucks. I didn't blink an eye. Two burgers, one fry, one drink. So when I see a guy complaining about the price of McDonald's, for one, if it was $60, you're eating too much food, but if it was $50, that's kind of the expected price point.

And to be fair, when I first responded to this thread, I thought it was about the fast food minimum wage affecting the price of fast food. And I think it's actually about Joe Biden, the economy in general, and the price of everything being up. And that is a point I can't argue with. I think if you go to your local grocer, there are better examples of this than the current price of McDonald's.

And Wendy's is better than McDonald's but they're trash too. I have a short list of fast food I will eat. I will eat Wendy's but only for their chicken Sandwiches. Their burgers, like McDonald's, don't taste like beef to me.

biden didmt have anything to do with the minimum wage hike for fast food imdu3stry... this is all California and their doimg... they attribute it to highly profitable big corporations needing to pay thei fair share but the truth is that California's standard minimum wage is among the highest in the country altogether so their reasoning is BS..this is a move to show once again that California is a trend setter for the rest of the nation..flexing there muscles if you will...the rest of nation may follow to some degree and then california says I told you so and smiles

Saw this the other day: Gavin Newsome’s presidential campaign slogan: “I destroyed San Francisco, I destroyed California and I am ready to destroy America!” But I think he wins if he runs. That is how easily fooled the folks are.
You want to know what's funny about Gavin destroying San Francisco? In recent years he has been critical of the state of San Francisco, as if he isn't the key reason for said state, and as if he hasn't done a horrible job in Sacramento. I mean, i'm no London Breed fan, and things have definitely gotten worse on her watch, but a lot of that has to do with covid, and fentanyl. The current state of San Francisco traces directly back to Gavin. It's comical that he is trying to separate himself from SF, in preparation for an eventual Presidential run.

I think the mainstream media is losing its grip on the general public views. They are the "boy that cried wolf" on so many lies and they got caught.
Russia, Russia Russia hoax, Hunter Biden fake laptop, Adam Schiff daily lies about Trump, pee tapes, Steele Dossier and on and on. The term "Fake News" is almost now accepted with all outlets on the mainstream media. Everyone knows who they are and what they did and try to do. They said no more coverage of Trump yet they have a update daily on his every turn on the way to the courthouse. Jon Stewart did a good piece last Monday showing how bad the media has become.

We’re all just being used as human batteries . They charge us up with the things they want us to care about . We are overwhelmed and inundated by a kamikaze blitz of “ selling and selling “ , whether it be through the news , commercials , or beliefs that they stick in on the sly by way of media .
Then we work for them by going off and using that energy to follow through on what they filled our capacities with , damn , that’s fucked up . What a fucking cycle . We are a human species lost in translation .
I got this one life ya know ? and I feel the majority of people out there want me to waste it by doing their selfish biddings that enhances their own personal “ quality “ of life . Yuck .
can I just be free to charge myself up with my own thoughts on what this life means to me ?
or do I have to follow along so people don’t point fingers ?
Thank God those games that they play mean nothing to me because I don’t give a figgidy fuck .
BACK PATTING and KISSING threads are like passing HAM SANDWICHES around over and over-wall

We are at the mercy of what ever the administration wants to do. We need a change and fast, if we want the Country to survive. Cannot think of a single thing the current administration did that was good for the Nation. Wars, inflation, opening the borders. Almost like they want to destroy the USA.
