“CBS News has learned the Trump Administration will be sending 175 federal agents to Chicago this week to assist police in curbing violent crime. The agents will come from Chicago, Detroit, St. Paul, Nashville, and likely Atlanta.” “If President Donald Trump tries to make good on his threat to “deploy the United States military” to Chicago and other cities enduring continued violence and looting, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she will “see him in court.” "It’s not gonna happen. Not in my city,” Lightfoot said. “I’m not confident that the president has the power to do that. But we have our lawyers hard at work. And if he tries to do that and usurp the power of our governor and myself as the mayor, we will see him in court.”“
Well $hit what a stellar effort by Trump to clean up gun violence in Chicago. I'm sure he could NOT have used his Presidential power to push Lightfoot's hand, or try to visit the city, or set up a face-to-face meeting with Lightfoot to discuss matters. I mean she said I'll see him in court, so he gave up his effort. I guess case closed right? What persistence and resilience shown by Trump.
Now that is strong show of Presidential leadership and power.
Lightfoot was mean to me, so I am not interested in trying to help the city anymore.
