The chances of impeachment are microscopic no matter the evidence and a million to one shot this year. All of Congress is concerned about the Midterms and SCOTUS. Where will there be time for impeachment? Where is the public outcry for it? The only chance it happens is next year and only if Dems do incredibly well on Election Night. Even then they probably won’t do it as it would likely fail anyway and lead to tremendous blowback. Impeachment will only occur if the Kool Aid drinking Trump Zombies abandon him and as long as he is the White Supremacy President they have always dreamed they will be appeased.

Interesting point.  I would also emphasize some Trump initiatives like fair trade in terms of tariffs will probably disappear in a nanosecond.  Trade wars are most definitely not a republican ideology even if many people support this tactic now.  Pence will probably install your standard bread and butter conservative initiatives like ban on gay marriage, increase defense spending, ban abortions (etc,etc) but reengage with our traditional NATO allies especially militarily and will probably do a 180 when it comes to the current U.S.-Russia foreign policy.  But if voters wanted a Pence type President, they had their chance to elect that type of politician through the republican primaries.  So wouldn't the people on the "right" be disappointed also?  Trump seems to be very popular with them.  And do you think Pence could win in 2020?  He's doesn't have Trump's hair or charisma ... I wouldn't be so quick to call it a 6 year reign.

I think Pence is flawed too, of course, but if he were to ever become prez, it would be awfully difficult to justify nominating another republican for their national ticket...now the real question is who will the Dems ultimately back as a legit contender/winner? if the American country simply stands pat from here until next elections, I can't see the Repubs losing...it's the good ole fashioned 8 year switch dance...every 8 years you guys switch leaders like a yoyo...this past switch was one heck of a yoyo trick!

He'll never get convicted in the Senate but I'll give it a 50/50 chance that the house would at least attempt to impeach ....  especially if the dems win control of the house after the 2018 elections.  Now this bet is just to impeach in the house, correct?  Not to actually convict him too, right?  Damn I'm a bit slow today.

@ cave actually that is my proposed bet I 100 to a bank other bettors 5 g Trump will be set to trial based on democratic leadership chances of taking back the House. Then I allow the hedge to conviction at win 5100 or break even if trump becomes the first president to actually be impeached by the senate. Or I lose a 100 if no action moves to trial.
