I've been listening to the discussion about going back to school.  Greg Hill's radio show provides some entertainment in the morning when I'm driving to my first job and they've been highlighting the issue.  I just don't agree with what anyone is saying.  Opening schools back up is absolutely not feasible.  Yes, most of the kids probably won't have anything happen directly to them.  However, this virus is extremely contagious and too many people have it by now.  So I'm pretty certain if we go through with this scenario, we'll start hearing about teachers testing positive and perhaps someone compromised at their homes, which leads to an end result of death.  

Now we technically do need to open schools up because too many kids are being abused at home, be it physically or verbally.  I'm afraid it's just the reality of the world and these kids will be subjected to more of it if they're forced to be confined at home.  In addition to that, it's been pointed out that some kids come from poor backgrounds and can't do remote learning as well.  Not everyone has basic amenities.  It may not be realistic to open up schools but who's going to watch all of these kids during the day when their parents are working?   I believe too many parents relied on schools to do babysitting for them.   

I do agree with some prior remarks, though.  American students are getting dumber every year.  Why is school so essential?  We're behind in math and science,  Shoving kids back into schools won't change that.  We're a stupid nation that now espouses being anti-intellectual.  This is going to be a giant shitshow and I anticipate that it won't possibly work.

The argument I continuously hear is those elderly represents x amount of the nation they are directly responsible for x number of citizens and those citizens are the result of those who essentially worked. 

Those non worker families who was not exposed can perish because the herd that got up worked went home were exposed to the virus now have anti bodies. In the evolution of the virus recovered b's never exposed the economy will function as the other " worthless eater" succumb to the the inevitable a virus which they never had exposure to. 

I believe in mandatory vaccines for public education.  I believe if a vaccine is being developed to reach 80 percent immunity 

We must give our scientists more time the fda interference is not helping... lets start at what's hindering the vaccine trials.

I understand you FEEL this way.  But WHAT are you basing your FEELING on?

Too many cases are inevitably going to be linked to opening up schools and the deaths associated with it.  I understand Republicans feel that each individual death is just a statistic, but that isn't going to convince the majority of people that sending their children to school is safe.  I already know what's going to happen and so it doesn't take much to figure out where this is going.  Republicans can try their best to force everyone to do what they want but it won't work and it'll be chaos.

To explain it another way:

I would wager anyone up to 100K that for all intents and purpose this will be over by the end of the month -- and I do not think that I would need the last week.

This is based on evidence.  Look at the total deaths in Europe.  Look at the northern states death charts.  Then look at the southern states charts.

You could make an argument to allow northern kids back to school -- and wait on southern states until another month or so.  That would be okay -- to verify no lagging death rise.

Before, folks are upset when you do not respect the science to lock-down and wear masks.  But now they are not respecting the science to reopen schools -- mainly, because they are frightened -- through no fault of their own.

Chuck Schumer has had a change of heart, Schumer said Friday....we must reopen our schools. If the nation doesn’t reopen its schools, the economy will be significantly hurt.

Now, the truth comes out............ the Democrats are more worried about the economy.than the children..

Prescience, brah.  You need to have the ability to see what's to come and how it may occur.  I am predicting with my gut.  Isn't that what Trump does often and I thought it's celebrated?  By the way, I just hit a baseball parlay last night by using data and guts.  No lie.  I don't bother making up ridiculous shit to seem impressive.  I had a 6-team parlay for 10 dollars.  I used the recent results provided by Covers with the matchup tab.  No, it's not necessarily the most scientific method but it does tell me which current odds are justified and which numbers appear to be based on hype.  I had Oakland ML, Baltimore ML, Kansas City ML, Cincinnati ML, Colorado ML and under 7.5 in the Padres/Diamondbacks game.  Considering that the Orioles were down 3-0 going into the 8th inning and mounted the comeback, that is incredible.  

I don't care that much if they do open schools up completely or not.  I'm just telling you what I think is going to happen and then the brass will discuss whether it's working and if plans need to be altered.  I said months ago that this was somewhat political because Republicans were talking as if the virus would be dealt with by the fall.  So they weren't under the impression this would be prolonged and we'd need to take measures to live differently.  Now some time has passed and everyone is realizing it's more contagious than they thought and the virus isn't going away.  Why would that suddenly change if they open up schools?  It may take weeks but isn't the same thing going to occur and it's going to spread?

We opened the schools and … it was fine.
