Most legal experts disagree with delusional Trump.  12th amendment prevents Trump as vice president from becoming president if president Vance quits.  Roosevelt is the only president to exceed 2 terms.  But 22nd amendment now prevents extra terms.  To change constitution requires 66% approvals in both house and senate plus 75% of state legislatures.  Besides, stupid and disgrace for US to reelect the worst president in US history.

The whole point of Project 2025 is to spend the four years of Trump’s term building up a network of Republican loyalists throughout the federal and state governments, court systems, police departments, and armed forces. The goal is to have a system in place (unlike 2020) so that when the leaders of the Republican party give orders, there will be people in place who will follow the orders.

Trump naturally thinks this is all being done on his behalf. So he talks about how he’ll get a third term.

But the people actually running things may have different plans. In 2028, they may decide Trump is no longer needed and his liabilities now outweigh whatever questionable assets he provides. So Trump will get kicked to the curb and the Republicans will put a new face in to replace him. They might even decide to allow the pretense of holding an election. It wouldn’t be the first time The Powers That Be thought he could be used then controlled or tossed to the side.…Reminds me of Von Schleicher, Von Papen, and Hindenburg in 1933…that didn’t turn out like they thought!

Let's all try not to be so ignorant here....I'll give Trump credit for at least one thing so far, he sure knows how to rile up the unhinged masses.  He's laughing at all you people having mental breakdowns online and in your real lives on daily basis.  

History/Civics lesson of the day:  

The 22nd amendment makes President Trump constitutionally ineligible to run for a third term and the 12th amendment makes him constitutionally ineligible to run as vice president. That said there is no constitutional provision that says speaker of the house must be an elected member of Congress, and there is no constitutional provision that says a two term president cannot become speaker of the house. This would place him third in the order of succession.

Now that said, if something happened to POTUS and VP, and our country was still standing, we would still have a conflict of the 22nd amendment as the Constitution would overrule the succession act. They would either have to elect a new speaker or skip President Trump for the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

The Constitution is the law of the land. The only options are a constitutional amendment to repeal the 22nd amendment (short on votes) or an Article V convention (short on states)
