These voter ID laws are a complete waste of time. I do not understand why Republicans think voter ID laws are necessary. Who exactly is voting that does not possess a valid ID? Please enlighten us with data and facts.
How many voters in your state voted in 2020 that do not possess a government issued ID? Why is this a talking point for Republicans and you in particular?
"Voter identification laws are a part of an ongoing strategy to roll back decades of progress on voting rights. Thirty-four states have identification requirements at the polls. Seven states have strict photo ID laws, under which voters must present one of a limited set of forms of government-issued photo ID in order to cast a regular ballot – no exceptions.
Voter ID laws deprive many voters of their right to vote, reduce participation, and stand in direct opposition to our country’s trend of including more Americans in the democratic process. Many Americans do not have one of the forms of identification states acceptable for voting. These voters are disproportionately low-income, racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Such voters more frequently have difficulty obtaining ID, because they cannot afford or cannot obtain the underlying documents that are a prerequisite to obtaining government-issued photo ID card."
BULL CHIT!!!!

You didn't answer any of my questions at all. I asked why are Voter ID laws a talking point for Republicans????
Who do YOU think is voting in elections that does not have a government issued ID?
You pulled Democrat talking points. I don't care about those because my view is that nearly all voters carry some type of identification anyway.
What are your thoughts on Republicans trying to limit polling sites, and hours of operation for elections moving forward in communities of color?
Funny how you conveniently avoid answering any of these questions, and rant on and on about Voter ID laws, which are really meaningless.
What state do you live in? How many voters without ID participated in the 2020 election? What difference do YOU think voting ID laws will actually make that they have not already made in 34 states?

And this CRAP; https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/new-voter-suppression 1960???? 25% of blacks don't have photo ID????? THEN GET THEM ONE!!!!!!!!
So out of these 25% of Black Americans without photo ID, how many are actually voting? How are they registering to vote without valid ID's? HMMMMM.
They aren't.
This portion of society is not voting.
It's a really stupid talking point for both Republicans and Democrats.
I am just trying to figure out what Republicans think they are gaining by trying to promote new Voter ID laws? What is the overall goal here?
Like I said, in all states you need some type of government id to even register to vote. So who do you think is voting without possession of ID?
