House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Democrats would indeed repeal the GOP middle -class tax law,,, if they are successful in retaking the House of Representatives this November during a town hall on Wednesday.

Sounds like a GREAT plan for the midterm to me....running on tax increases for the middle class.......along with repealing the 2nd Amendment..

Looks like the Democrats want to go down the same road as they did back in 1984....when Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale pledged to raise taxes if he defeated the White House incumbent, Ronald Reagan....

Did you notice Alabama had a state wide election to fill Jeff Sessions seat. Did you notice it is a blue seat? Guess what Donna Trump has energized more Democrats than you might be aware of. As for Pelosi well She be doing just fine. Come November Republicans loose the Senate and quite possibly The house. I understand that Republicans will be in shock as the Democrats were in 2010 as the Republicans were in 2006 as the Democrats were in 1996 this is an ongoing pendulum swing. It’s okay breathe you be back on top in no time but as for the mean time Democrats have got to be in charge to put our books back to gether after the balloon of a market we have bursts. Sorry but reality is we’re broke. The market the 10000 point gain in less then 2 years is unsustainable and correction must occur.

I said it plenty before the election. Not in these forums because I wasn&#x27;t an active poster in the political threads but in real life a bunch. My exact words were, "Trump will win for the same reason Obama won. People responded to 8 years of Bush, mobilized, and voted. And now people will respond to 8 years of Obama, mobilize, and vote." When people were talking about this poll and that poll I always contended that polls don&#x27;t mean shite. It all comes down to which candidate gets people to the polling places to punch those tickets. Obama did. I knew Trump would. I knew Hillary never could. To win an election, you have to mobilize those people who may have stayed at home otherwise.

And i&#x27;m not so convinced this "blue wave" is coming. The democrats I know, and i&#x27;m from Caliifornia so about 75% of the people I know consider themselves democrats, they are wishy-washy. Obama got people out to vote. He was  a charismatic, good-looking black dude. He checked a lot of boxes. I don&#x27;t see that person coming along again. I can&#x27;t tell you how many white women I know, in liberal California, who were so proud to cast a vote for Obama yet didn&#x27;t show up for Clinton. Many of them were Bernie supporters. And she wonders why she lost. It had nothing to do with Russian hackers. She couldn&#x27;t even get liberal white women out in droves.

No, they couldn&#x27;t. I think you overestimate the attention spans of most Americans. Let&#x27;s see gow much they hate Trump in a years time, let alone two years time. They&#x27;re not even mad at him for the right reasons now. There are things Trump has done that I don&#x27;t agree with. I think his tax plan was a gift to the super-rich paid and will prove a failure to most Americans. I don&#x27;t like that he opened up public lands, National Parks/Monuments, for private development.
