CHICAGO — Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot rebuked rumors of her resignation that began circulating on social media late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, saying she will serve “today, tomorrow and into the future.”

Community activist Ja’Mal Green said in a now-deleted tweet Saturday night that Lightfoot would resign from her position on Sunday, with later rumors speculating a potential resignation was due to rumors of personal infidelity.

Lightfoot responded to the rumors Sunday morning in a series of tweets, where she said “it’s shocking and disappointing” to see people with a prominent social media presence “peddling this trash as truth.”

This story may have some merit.

SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s gubernatorial campaign has paid at least $62,500 as part of a settlement with a former staff member who had accused her of sexual mistreatment during a staff meeting, according to documents filed Monday.

The payments went to a law firm representing James Hallinan, a spokesman for Lujan Grisham during her 2018 general election campaign. The five monthly payments of $12,500 are outlined in a campaign finance report filed late Monday by Lujan Grisham’s campaign with the Secretary of State’s Office. They are listed as legal expenses, with one payment a month from November through March.

Leopold said. “They reached a settlement in order to avoid the continuing distraction and significant expense of possible litigation and allow them to concentrate on working for the people of New Mexico during this pandemic.”

Settlement payments were made to the Buckley Beal law firm in Atlanta, where Rachel Berlin Benjamin, an attorney for Hallinan, is senior partner.

Sexual degradation of an employee and diverting campaign contributions to the victim is taken alot more seriously in the Democratic party than its Republican counter parts.

This one is real and future payments could be given. This story is ongoing.

It wasn't clear Monday how many payments might also be made in future months as part of the settlement agreement.

Hallinan, who now runs his own communications company, accused Lujan Grisham in late 2019 — about a year after he left the campaign — of pouring a bottle of water on his crotch and then grabbing his crotch through his clothes as she laughed, an incident he said took place in front of other campaign staffers.

I have friends who are friends with Chicago P.D.

The word on the street is true, Lori cheated on her partner Amy. She was caught at a suburban hotel just west of Chicago which was paid for on the city's dime.

It gets better. The girl who she was with has a boyfriend, that guy had outstanding gun charges. She threatened Lori and told her to make this disappear or I'll go to the media about us. Lori got her right hand man Kim Fox to drop the charges.

Her partner Amy found out anyway. She was upset and a domestic dispute ensued. Their daughter had to run out of the house and get the police officer who was outside(Lori has 24 hour police protection) and told him that "my moms are fighting".

All of this is being investigated as we speak. Lori is doing everything to sweep it under the rug.

Just saying what I heard. I'm sure a few things could be exaggerated. 

Today I heard that the CPD superintendent and deputy superintendent plan to step down this Friday. This due to the shooting of 13 year old Adam Toledo and how it's being reported by media, and how Lori Lightfoot is running the city.

We'll see...

If you guy's don't know a few things about how the Adam Toledo shooting went down, here's a couple details that the media likes to leave out.

His nickname on the street was "Lil Diablo" He was a gang banger in the Little Village neighborhood. 

That night at 3:27 am, him and another 21 year old gang member shot 8 rounds into a passing car. 8, not one or two...8. Chicago has multiple "shot spotter" devices throughout the city. It picks up the frequency of gun shots where cameras are instantly activated and police are instantly dispatched to the area.

That's why they were there so quickly. Both suspects were approached by cpd, one of which ran. At that point you all have seen the video.

What are people supposed to do?

Last Thursday in the same neighborhood, a 17 year old girl was shot in the head by gang gunfire. She was an innocent bystander, and died.

This is why we have policemen. Our city is ruthless.

Chicago PD capped the guy who shot and killed a 7 year old at a McDonald's drive through last week.

Shot him on 290 and have him in custody.

In Columbus, a cop SAVED a woman's LIFE who was about to get stabbed in the face by a psychopathic 16 year old.

She's just awful. I can't think of anything positive that she's done for our city.
