Back in June, President Barack Obama derided
President-elect Donald Trump’s ability to do anything for the Carrier
Corp. employees who were slated to lose their jobs. In the wake of
Carrier announcing it would shift production from Indiana to Mexico, the
president indicated that jobs leaving Indiana were part of a trend that
could not be reversed. In February, Trump had criticized Carrier’s plan to shut the plant and
move jobs to Mexico, threatening that if he were elected and the company
followed through, he would seek to impose taxes on products Carrier
made in Mexico and sold in the United States.
Trump’s comments about Carrier were rebutted by Obama during a June 1
town hall in Indianapolis, during which Carrier employee Eric Cottonham
asked Obama, “what can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs,
employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs have left or in the
process of leaving, sir.”
Obama offered a contradiction, first noting that under his
administration, “we’ve seen more manufacturing jobs created since I’ve
been president than anytime since the 1990s. He then added, “even though
we’re making the same amount of stuff in our manufacturing sector,
we’re employing fewer people.”
He then spoke about the jobs heading to Mexico, saying that the jobs
leaving were never again going to be part of the American economic
landscape.
Obama then argued that Trump does not know how to retain jobs in the country.
Guess he stuck it in you behind? Didn't he

Yeah cut and paste master, this was not Trumps gig...but if you spent more time away from heavily right wing biased websites I think you would have figured it out.
So now you are without Obama bashing material and now you need to do this fake garbage Trump vs Obama stuff....

Does anyone give Joe Biden credit when he does something good ? Seems to me a good Veep lets the boss take all the bows. I'm sure Biden must have used his experience and contacts to the benefit of the president during their time together. Trump picked Pence so why doesn't Trump get to take a bow when their work together produces results ?

Carrier company still plans to move 1300 jobs to Mexico but keep 800 jobs in the US perhaps temporarily. Manufacturing job loss is a global trend that is unlikely to be reversed in the long term. American companies can still find lower tax rates and cheaper workers abroad. Giving tax cuts to individual companies that might leave in the future is small relief except to gain publicity.
Historically, Obama has the second next record in job creation next to Clinton. According to Congress Budget Office, corporate tax cuts are the least effective way to create jobs. Infrastructure investment, lower interest rate and extending unemployment benefits are more effective in creating jobs. Workers need to be trained for jobs of the future and not of the past.

How the fk is extending "unemployment benefits" an effective way to create jobs? Moron
BTW if you haven't heard, new corporate tax rates are coming to keep companies from fleeing the country. By this time next year things are going to be noticeably improved after the past 8 years of no growth.
You go on and believe the countries employment situation is as rosy as they paint that false picture. Net 0 hasn't don't anything to assist in job creation, according to Congress Budget office (please)... Are you in the real world where people are making the same money they made 20 years ago or even less? The real unemployment rate is 10-15% with 94M eligible people that could be working without a job. I'm a business owner, when I run an ad I get so many over-qualified applicants you wouldn't believe it. I guess that's because so many awesome jobs have been created... 70,000 factories have closed nationwide, you do realize that correct?

Really? How about $500M for 18 months of a failed solar company (Solyndra)? Of course everyone involved was friends of Net 0 that put $500M to sleep.
Trump spent $7M over 10 years. Can you imagine the what the Unemployment payments for 1,000 people would be for 24 months alone? This is how you make America Great again instead of unemployed... Not to mention I think Carrier will still be there in 10 years. Another fool on board...
You got a real hard head Darkhorse...
Put up an argument on that please.

You have some infatuation with Putin/Trump. It's getting creepier and creepier. I never saw anything like that. It's a tad disturbing. I wonder if Russia will continue to expand during the next 8 years as it has during the past 8 years. Ukraine, Syria, seems like Putin is doing whatever he wishes while Net 0 draws line in the sand and backs some rebels that only he knows who they are...

How the fk is extending "unemployment benefits" an effective way to create jobs?
According to thebalance, unemployment benefits work fast and direct to boost the economy. Unemployed spend the money to buy basic goods and services. In multiplier effect, a dollar spent at grocery store pays for food. It also helps pay the clerk's salary, the truckers who haul the food and even the farmer. The clerks, truckers and farmers then buy groceries which pays more people. Every dollar in unemployment benefits stimulate $1.66 in demand. According to Congress Budget Office, $1 billion in benefits create 19,000 jobs. Whereas tax cuts create 10,000 jobs.
During Obama's term, second most number of jobs (16+ million) were created. According to Bloomberg, 76 consecutive months of job growth. Lower unemployment rate, lower inflation rate, lower federal deficit and higher exports. Stock market almost tripled in value. According to politics that work, GDP growth rate outperform other NATO countries by widest margin of any President since world war II. Certainly, a major improvement over predessor Bush.

Jobs created is not nearly as important as the kind of jobs created. Of those 16 million I would like to see a stat that shows how many pay above the poverty line. I can't seem to find that number and that's the only one that means anything.

Obviously 3P your a huge Obama fan and you always come up with numbers to support your position. I'm just wondering since the Democrats have lost the White House, Senate & Congress after have super majorities and have the fewest members since 1929 do you actually believe that b.s. you posted in #20?
Lower "federal deficit"? Then how did it nearly double from $10T to $20T in 8 years? The economy grows at 1% for 8 years, slowest growth ever. And if people on unemployment was so great, then everyone should be unemployed and just get a check to so spend.
Follow this logic please. If someones making $40K on a job, loses it and goes on unemployment for $250 a week, how on earth is that better for the economy when before he was spending $40K minus taxes and now spends $10K.
About the only stat that I don't think is jaded is the stock market, and if Net 0 had his way, he'd break the stock market over his knee too.

Pardon me, the mofo doubled the national debt with lower federal deficits huh? OK I understand... Can you do arithmetic? It's about the bottom line and Net 0 has nothing to show for 8 years of reckless spending. Within 100 days Trump will do accomplish more than Net 0 in 8 years and possibly before he's even in office. You ever seen a POTUS accomplish ANYTHING before the Inauguration?
