I see it as a two step process:
1. Enslavement (lock-downs, crippling of the world economy, censorship and other tyrannical actions)

2. Extermination (the clot shot program and now since it is failing to bring full compliance, perhaps a thermonuclear war wherein the USA and Russia take each other out). For the globalists it would be the killing of two birds with one stone and usher in their 'New World Order' and their screwy reset. 

The globalists aim of depopulation can be accomplished sooner than they dreamed. The Overlords have huge bunkers in New Zealand and elsewhere wherein they can survive the period of transition while the global extermination is accomplished.
