Biden is calling on states, localities to implement eviction bans for at least the next two months
How about these dumb fucks ask them to forego property taxes as well

Democrats don’t ask the banks to wave mortgage payments
Democrats don’t ask cities and towns to wave property taxes
They ask cities and towns to pass laws so landlords are held hostage
This is what you get when you have people that have only worked in government for their entire lives
Nearly all Democrats are completely clueless
Sad

Congress just went on break. Just wait a few weeks. Plus July's inflation numbers don't come out for another week or so. The last time we had over 5% for 3 months in a row was....? Quick internet search will show you. We're currently at 2 with July's numbers still to be reported.

I mentioned this before you even created this thread that we are allowing our renters to pay what they can with no fear of eviction. We have done this since the pandemic & so far we are owed less than 5k. They are good hard working people who have just hit a rough patch in their lives.
This is what one American can do for another when help is needed.
Gezzz..don't you ever have something positive to say???
Stop bitching for cripes sake!

You think people have the right to rent another persons property and not pay anything?
What does your personal story have to do with this?

A right not to pay rent, no.
But in the same vain, as a landlord I have the right to defer their payment. People all over the country are doing the same thing.
Maybe if you owned something, you could do the same to help others.

A North Carolina landlord says he is out $24,000 in unpaid rent from tenants, while one renter bought three boats over the course of the eviction moratorium just as the CDC announced a new ban that will last until Oct. 3.
Buddy Shoup, who owns 35 properties across the state, said that he has been forced to maintain the properties and hemorrhage costs while the federal government slowly dribbles out rental assistance, of which only 7% has been doled out to renters in need.
"[The money] was used, they went and bought brand new boats, but I mean, you know in a time of crisis like what we’ve been through, you’re evidently getting money from somewhere, but it’s not getting to me," said Shoup.
Those very same tenants allegedly contacted Shoup when their air-conditioning failed in the middle of the summer.
Shoup was legally required to make the $4,500 repair on the residence but said he did not receive any money from the tenants or the government to cover the additional cost.
"It goes way beyond the loss of rental income, we’re still bound by county rules and laws," added Shoup. "We have to maintain the property."
Shoup said that he oftentimes sends tenants who cannot pay rent to local programs, which are funded by city and county taxpayer dollars, in order to acquire some form of assistance.
Yet, when it comes to federal rental assistance, the North Carolina landlord said he hasn’t seen any indication that the money is reaching struggling renters.

@UNIMAN
Sounds like he rented to some low life scumbags who are taking advantage of the situation.
35 properties & he's only out 24k? He should be thanking his lucky stars IMO.

Tomorrow morning we are taking some wounded veterans fishing for mahi & black fin tuna. We caught a couple dozen goggle-eyes so we'll have plenty of live bait. Four different boats are taking 12 vets. It's amazing to see them smile just getting on the ocean & hooking up with a nice one. We'll get back before noon & cook up the catch with some cold ones. When done, we'll drive the vets home around 6 or so.
Suck on that you infantile prick.

I don't know, bro. I'd rather a guy talking about doing something than being silent about doing nothing.

When we were in the beginning stages of the pandemic & people were worrying about toilet paper & hand sanitizer, crazies were screaming at cashiers like it was their fault.
So one day when cashing out at the register, I asked the cashier what her favorite candy bar was. She said something like Nestle Crunch or something I can't remember. I grabbed one right at the cashier & told her to add it to my bill.
After cashing out & grabbing my stuff, I gave her the candy bar & said thanks to her for putting up with everyone's bullshit. She gave me the cutest little smile & said thanks mister.
I got home & mentioned it in the General Forum & several Covers members mentioned that it was a great, inexpensive way to say thanks to those invisible people who show up to work every day to serve our asses. A few said they would do the same thing.
I shared the incident hoping others would spend a buck & do the same thing when they got a chance. But with those good people in Covers, we have to deal with smart ass responses from little punk ass dildos like Doja. I know not everyone has a boat to take people fishing but everyone here can buy a candy bar or pick up a breakfast tab for the elderly like sundance did in Chicago. Sharing acts like this here maybe just maybe will create other acts of kindness across the country.
We have to start taking care of each other or wonder why the fuck we even exist.
