FBI raids Michael Cohen's ...

So the FBI raids Michael Cohen's house, office and hotel room seizing bank records, tax files, emails and other documents.  This guy has been Trump's personal lawyer and friend for over a decade.  Looks like he's under investigation for bank fraud, wire fraud and campaign finance violations.  I have a feeling this is the straw that breaks the camel's back ... I think Trump will finally fire Mueller sooner than later.

the search warrant was approved by a Trump appointee : Acting U.S Attorney in Manhattan Geoffrey S. Berman.



Trump fired the previous U.S. attorney in Manhattan, Preet Bharara, just three months into his presidency. Bharara rejected Trump’s overtures to establish a direct line of communication, and he told the White House he did not find the contact appropriate. Less than a day later, Trump fired him. 


Will Trump inult Berman ?

Jeff Sessions was already in the dog house for recusing himself from the Russia probe.

I can see Trump pardoning Cohen too.  Either way firing Mueller and/or pardoning Cohen is now a reality.  What Trump's political cost is anybodys guess at this point.  On a somewhat unrelated matter, I just read Cohen got his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  I never heard of this school but why not hire lawyers from institutions with some credibility?  Is this like Trump University equivalent or something?  I mean c'mon man!

What exactly was the reason for the raid? What was the evidence provided for the raid? I have read it may be related to campaign finance?

I've heard it bantered that this raid by Mueller is an attempt to entice Trump to do something hot-headed like fire the Special Pros. to set up a Sat Night Massacre scenerio so that the real aim of this whole scavenger hunt can come to bear-Get Trump Out of Washington.
It may sound left field but the first comment out of the entire mediaista was something along the lines........Will Trump Fire Mueller?  These puppets never have an original thought and it may be all in the script.
Just when Trump was going to be Presidential and slap Syria for gas attacks the Resistence tries to control the focus.

Get your facts straight !!

Muller did not authorize the RAID nor did he execute the warrant 
US district attorney Berman is a Trump appointee. Berman executed the search warrant.

Since Cohen is a lawyer , no judge would agree to authorize the serach warrant If there was no evidence of of wrongdoing.

Mueller must have found something unrelated to the Russia investigation and contacted NY district attorney.

This  is normal. IF Homicide was investigating a crime and found evidence of tax evasion ( crime scene document ..etc) , they would contact the IRS. there is no witch hunt !!!

  Robert Mueller's team  is looking into a $150,000 payment to President Donald Trump's foundation in 2015 by a Ukrainian billionaire ...

But the same Ukranian Billionaire has given up to $25 million to the Clinton Foundation.....and had dinner at her house..... None of that's under investigation..

May be not. According to the Associate Press, Michael Cohen is afraid to be the "fall guy" by himself. Swede, aka David Dennison, might jump off the sinking ship to save himself and leave Cohen shivering on the ship. Dude has been infamous of stiffing his constructors, University students, share holders, and even his lawyers. Stay tuned.

Here is a brilliant idea -- don't do things that are either illegeal or at a minimum shady / unethical and maybe just maybe you will not expose yourself to an FBI raid.

Lol that is funny. How did the FBI handle Hillary's emails? I think i missed the news on that raid. Cohen didnt get a chance to go through his emails delete, bleach and destroy phones. But the left is ok with that behaviour because Hillary is....well Hillary.
