I hate political correctness as well.  If two straight guys are joking around and one calls another a person, I couldn’t care less.  However, what Mikael99 did was imply that he didn’t like someone simply because they were a homosexual.  Now, you aren’t going to see me marching in any gay pride parades, however, I think most reasonable people here can agree that not liking someone simply because they are gay is pretty low…even for a liberal.

lmao that democrats are smarter than republicans...there is a reason republicans favor big business and democrats favor the urban poor.

that being said i think it has a lot more to do with the fact that fox has no competetion while there are about 6 or 7 liberal stations.  (typing while i'm thinking...) although i have read that fox beats all of them combined so i am not sure if that is the reason..

in context you are 100% correct. his one and only reason for not liking that person was because she was a lesbian.  although i dont think mikael is homophobic or that prejudice, it is hard to defend what he wrote even though i think he meant more along the lines of his following post.

IMO the best program all week between Fox,MSNBC and CNN is Fareed Zakaria GPS (Global Public Square ) but he is only on Sunday at 1 and 5 pm ..His content is excellent, along with a very good mixed panel ..that is if you can appreciate a host, that sets the tone for discussion with good decorum ...

Maybe someday ,some network will see his value and he could be on more often....

 

By the way I see nothing wrong with lesbians and Mikael99 did made a HOMOPHOBIC remark ..saying he didn't like her because she was GAY ...before he came back two hours later and tryed to justify it by saying, he didn't like comedic lesbians..

..and as a supporter of EGALE ( Equality for Gays and Lesbians Everywhere ) ..in the final analysis, gays may have the last word. . . in these types of hate speech....

I am not homophobic, but i am independent moderate like Slim and Bob. I am open minded to all views even theirs. I am just tired of the Maddows talking about gay issues 4 times per week on her show.

Anyway i agree that GPS is a great show.

I find it kind of funny that FOX is full of Global Warming deniers, yet daddy Rupert is a Greenie, so that puts the hosts in kind of a bind when it comes to that issue. 

And another thing was when the tea parties were going, FOX was acting like they were the official sponsors.  They had anchors reporting and telling people to take the day off from work and go to a tea party.  Is there even a hint of journalistic instinct left at FOX?

As far as the political analyists, is there anybody dumber than Dick Morris?  Has he ever got a prediction right?  He makes James Carville look like Mother Theresa!

What about the time during the campaign that Obama gave his wife a fist bump and a lame FOX reporter called it a "Terrorist fist bump"?  Or when that that intern-chasing congressman was identified on FOX as a democrat even though he was a republican?  The list goes on and on .. . . . .
