As far as straddling a line, some people consider each individual issue and make their own decisions accordingly. Others have blind allegiance to a party. Is he coming over for Thanksgiving? I make a fire Thanksgiving spread. Not as good as mom, or as big a spread, but I do my thing. I feel like I make the best turkey I have ever had. Roast turkey, specifically. Frying is another ball park, as is smoking. My smoke turkey is decent too but can't say it's the best I have ever had. Maybe. And my mac&cheese is pretty impressive as well. Everything else is average. My mashed taters are fire too but I make them throughout the year so they don't feel special.
